Mitchell Leidner (born January 17, 1994) is an American football quarterback. He played college football for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers.[1]

Early life

A 2012 graduate of Lakeville South High School. Mitch Leidner's achievements include helping lead his team to a 15–7 record as a junior and senior, including a 2010 section championship, earning all-metro and all-conference honors as a senior, being named honorable mention all-state in 2011,all-conference and honorable mention all-state choice as a junior in 2010.He passed for 2,096 yards and 17 scores in 2010, tallied 724 yards and 10 passing touchdowns as a senior, and holds school record for single-game touchdown passes with six. He was coached by Larry Thompson.

College career

Liedner has played 29 career games with an 18–11 record, starting 23 of those games with a 14–9 record. Leidner has rushed 980 career yards and 20 touchdowns, he has passed 3,727 yards and 21 touchdowns. He tied a school record for quarterbacks when he rushed four touchdowns in one game in 2013 against San Jose State as a redshirt freshman[2]
