Shcherba, Ščerba, Scherbo, or Szczerba is a surname of Slavic-language origin. It has the same form for both genders in most languages, except Czech and Slovak. "Shcherba" is the term for certain kinds of soup and is related to the Persian word "shorba" with the same meaning.
