Ways to improve George R. Bidwell
Hi, I'm Sadads. Alexschmidt711, thanks for creating George R. Bidwell!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Though you have a few references tha refer to teh person: it is unclear what makes this person of enduring interest to a general public. The lead should include this, but also, it should be clearer throughout the article.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Nomination of Screamer video for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Screamer video is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Screamer video until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Hell In A Bucket (talk) 19:07, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

December 2013

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Central Park may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
 • ] as it was feared they would be used for food by impoverished Depression-era New Yorkers.[htt

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 22:32, 9 December 2013 (UTC) I knew, but I didn't know how to fix it, or where the problem was.Alexschmidt711 (talk) 23:45, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Care to explain?

...why you overrode the green tick at Template:Did you know nominations/Fugging? The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 20:02, 19 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Rules for Fools mentions a discussion saying inappropriate hooks will not work. This joke is not appropriate by most standards, and it would not be interesting or funny if it was appropriate. Alexschmidt711 (talk) 20:08, 19 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

From that same page "it is not a policy or guideline itself". Thus is not binding as a policy on DYK, it is just an essay and is not a valid reason to override a green tick given after a review. Also, precedence such as: "Polish girls (pictured) are getting wet and spanked today, but will have their revenge tomorrow?" from last year proves that hooks like Fugging are fine. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 20:11, 19 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That DYK hook was from before the consensus was reached. Although the Rules for Fools is just information, the consensus indicates that this joke shouldn't fly. The hooks should be like the featured article, funny only because of their wording and not immature humor. Alexschmidt711 (talk) 20:36, 19 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It is not immature because the village was called Fucking and then changed it's name to Fugging. There is no such consensus against this. If you feel that strongly against it, take it to WT:DYK. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 20:43, 19 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Because of your determination and sound reasoning, I will downgrade my overturn to comment. Alexschmidt711 (talk) 20:46, 19 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Altered speedy deletion rationale: Vishwanath Tiwari

Hello Alexschmidt711. I am just letting you know that I deleted Vishwanath Tiwari, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided, which doesn't fit the page in question. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 14:18, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, but I have removed your addition, because this page is a personal list of hoaxes I have actually myself identified or helped to get rid of. There is the general WP:List of hoaxes on Wikipedia, but that is only for hoaxes that lasted more than a month or got external notice, and Dipanshu Tiwari was very properly detected and zapped within a few days. Hoax list

In this edit you mentioned a hoax list? What and where is it? --Bejnar (talk) 05:40, 15 June 2014 (UTC) WP:List of hoaxes on Wikipedia Alexschmidt711 (talk) 13:33, 15 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Funny, I didn't even read the "at least one year" heading on that table. Oh well, it was a good one, shame it couldn't be included. Note that there is at least one other entry on that list that doens't make the one-year mark. Cheers, Noah 18:28, 13 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
