Dreams Of Stabbing and/or Being Stabbed is the first EP by American rock band My Chemical Romance. The EP was the first studio release for MCR who at the time were a local band with a small regional following. The group at the time featured lead vocalist Gerard Way, lead guitarist Ray Toro, and drummer Matt Pelissier.
Background
The Attic demos were recorded in late 2001 by the then unnamed three-piece band in Matt Pelissier's attic. The three track demo was recorded for Alex Saavedra, owner of Eyeball Records. The recordings were poor quality, but resulted in the band being signed to Eyeball Records. This was also the demo which encouraged Gerard's brother Mikey Way to pick up bass for the band.[1]
