The Pitch is an American podcast hosted by Josh Muccio.[5] The show features entrepreneurs in need of venture funding as they pitch to a live panel of angel investors,[6] similar to ABC's hit TV series Shark Tank.[7] Penned by its creators as, "A show where real entrepreneurs pitch to real investors--for real money." the podcast aims to capture the essence of what happens when entrepreneurs pitch investors.[1]
The Pitch premiered on July 7th, 2015 and featured Pulkit Agrawal pitching his company to venture investor Dave McClure.[8][9]
In September 2016 it was announced that the second season of the podcast will start airing in 2017 and investors will be making investment decisions on the spot.[10]
In June 2017 it was announced that The Pitch had joined Gimlet Media who will host The Pitch's second season.[11]
