I've access to Nintendo's press site, so I have quite a bit of info that could be added, but I'm not exactly a Wikipedia veteran. In fact, I struggled to work out how to do this... Anyway, here's some information:

Tennis(1-4 players): Players grab the controller like a racket and swing- the game will register forehands, backhands, volleys, lobs, slices, spin, and power depending on how fast the user swings and at what angle. Don't worry about moving around the court to get to the ball- the game automatically moves players into position

Baseball(1-2 players): Grip the controller like a bat and swat fastballs out of the park in a home run derby. Timing and bat speed will make all the difference between going yard and whiffing, so keep an eye on the ball and swing for the fences. In the two player game, one player pitches and the other bats.

Golf(1 player): Step up to the tee, hole the controller like a golf club and swing naturally to smack the ball onto the green. The harder players swing the club, the further the ball will fly, so be sure to take some practice swings before going for the pin. After reaching the green, line up putts carefully, practice the stroke and try to hole out.

Release Date

What is the source saying it will be a launch game? I haven't seen any site mention this. Spyke 02:11, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

The first link to IGN's running blog of E3 makes a mention about Wii Sports being launched alongside the Wii as announced by Iwata.

(10:31:31 AM): Wii Sports -- Includs tennis, baseball and golf in one package. Will be available on launch day.

Link for aerobatics

Is there a specific reason the link for aerobatics just leads to a picture of the classic controller? Where was it meant to lead? --The last sheikah 13:12, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

Wii Motor Sports

It appears that there will be two different games, Wii Sports, as well as Wii Motor Sports. Wii Motor Sports will include at least Airplane and Jet Ski games. I'd say it's probably premature to do so, as the article is a little barren as it is. Probably best to keep the info in this article, and make this about the whole Wii Sports franchise. I'm sure that as we learn more about the games, there will come a time to split off articles on the individual games, but I don't think that time is now. Then again, new articles have been started with less information. Take Mario Paint Wii, for instance. Dancter 02:47, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
