Owl Labs is company that makes a 360° video conferencing device called "Meeting Owl".[2][3] It was founded in 2014 by robotics experts Max Makeev and Mark Schnittman.[4] After a seed round of $1.3M from serial entrepreneur Andy Rubin (via his Playground Global fund),[1] it raised $6M in venture capital in a Series A round led by Antonio Rodriguez, general partner at Matrix Partners in 2016. Playground Global and iRobot Ventures participated.[5][6][1][7][8][9] In June 2017, it announced its Meeting Owl device.[10][11][12]
