Athens 2004 is the official video game of the 2004 Summer Olympics, featuring various track and field events, as well as others.

Reception

Athens 2004 has received generally mixed to negative reviews from critics. Aggregating review websites GameRankings and Metacritic gave the PlayStation 2 version a 65.27% and 61/100[1][3] and the PC version a 37.50% and 41/100.[2][4] IGN gave the game a 4.5/10, criticising the game's ever-repeating button mashing and overall easiness of the game.[6] GameSpy gave the game 4 out of 5 stars, praising the game's varying gameplay.[5]
