Jim Cantore, a Weather Channel (TWC) meteorologist and Storm-Tracker, is among the most prominent weather broadcasters on the channel. When a major weather event has occurred or is imminent, Cantore provides live field reporting from that site. Clips of him reporting while braving hurricane winds are a staple of the channel. Jim has reported from so many hurricanes that residents along the coast have given him the nickname "The Angel of Death".

Early life

Born in White River Junction, Vermont. Cantore graduated from nearby Lyndon State College in 1986. The Weather Channel gave him his first job out of college in July of 1986.

Career Advancing

Cantore hosted the show Atmospheres in 2000 with Mish Michaels, and he narrates Storm Stories, which is shown daily on TWC. He is also on The Weather Channel as their Storm Tracker on Evening Edition now from 9 to 11 p.m EST - Monday through Friday.
