Support I would have supported this even without Menaka (1955 film) being created if the content had been in the director article. But now it has been, there's no more discussion. Good article by the way, and good source from The Hindu. In ictu oculi (talk) 07:52, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Comment Before deciding, I suggest we need some investigation and subsequent discussion on whether either of these is the primary topic for "Menaka (film)", which is now a WP:PDAB. Is either relatively significant and more likely to be sought than the other? --В²C ☎ 17:03, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  The relative importance of the 1935 Menaka film to the 1955 film may be comparable to The Maltese Falcon disambiguation page where The Maltese Falcon (1941 film) is indisputably more important than The Maltese Falcon (1931 film) and yet it would a violation of WP:NCFILM to have the main header for the 1941 version appear as The Maltese Falcon (film), but for the header of the 1931 version to remain as The Maltese Falcon (1931 film). —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 01:06, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  
  That section of NCFILM does not support the point being made here. Its only relevance to PRIMARYTOPIC is to state that if the film is the primary topic, use no disambiguation. It goes on to say that if the film is not the primary topic, and there are multiple films, disambiguate all of them with the year.
