Holbrook is a small town in New South Wales, Australia, on the Hume Highway between Sydney and Melbourne. Its name was formerly Germanton, but during World War I, this was deemed unpatriotic. It was renamed Holbrook in honour of Lt. Norman Holbrook, a decorated wartime submarine captain.

One of the more notable features of Holbrook is a submarine embedded in concrete in a park in the middle of town. This is the hull of the HMAS Otway, a decommissioned Oberon class submarine, donated by the Royal Australian Navy. It's startling since Holbrook is hundreds of kilometres inland.

A railway branch line connected it to the main railway line at The Rock..
