Inessa Tarverdiyeva (Russian: Инесса Тарвердиева) is the now-jailed matriarch of a Russian family who robbed, tortured[1] and killed at least 30 people until their capture in 2013.[2]
Husband dentist[3] Roman Podkopayev was killed in a police shootout during their capture.[4]
A nursery school teacher[5] and homemaker,[6] Tarverdiyeva's adult and juvenile daughters also participated in the crimes.[7]
