Sorry, the sentence "he rounded 70 yesterday" to be a rough translation to he died yesterday", but I realized that it was a post he made when he turned 70 the week before. My bad. Deletion of article List of number-one hits in Norway

Hi, I have tagged List of number-one hits in Norway for deletion as it possibly violates the copyrights of the major Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang. Ulflarsen (talk) 15:42, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article List of number-one hits in Norway, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of List of number-one hits in Norway

An editor has nominated List of number-one hits in Norway, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of number-one hits in Norway and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 15:04, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Categories

Hi. When adding categories like Category:Norwegian expatriate footballers in Denmark, please remember to remove the then-unnecessary Category:Norwegian expatriate footballers. Like I have done here. Thanks, Punkmorten (talk) 11:04, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, when editing these categories, please also remove Category:Expatriate footballers in Denmark. Like this =) Keep up the good work! lil2mas (talk) 18:53, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please also remember this category. Punkmorten (talk) 14:41, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, have you noticed that User:Raymond Cruise keeps removing category entries, I've reverted a few which I had in my watchlist, but there is still a lot of edits he have made =( Do you know why he has done this??? lil2mas (talk) 14:02, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I've noticed that you have added several new "triple intersection" categories such as this one for footballers. While I appreciate your efforts to improve Wikipedia's coverage of football, this appears to be a case of overcategorization (as [[::Category:Expatriate footballers in Costa Rica]] would suffice). Indeed, there was a CfD on this very topic which resulted in delete all. See: [1]. I am going to begin reverting these triple intersects back to the parent categories and wanted to let you know. Please let me know if you have any questions. Best regards. Jogurney (talk) 22:26, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Estonian expatriate footballers in Bulgaria, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Estonian expatriate footballers in Bulgaria has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Estonian expatriate footballers in Bulgaria, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 23:10, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In favour of the so-called 'triple intersection' category pages

Hi there. Just to let you know that this by no means constitutes a cut and dry case of overcategorisation. They subdivide long lists of expat footballers in a country in a sensible and informative way while reducing category page list clutter at the bottom of footballer bio pages. There is likely to be a discussion on the matter in the coming days at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion. Regards, Mayumashu (talk) 04:00, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Deaths in 2014, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chicago Fire. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Deaths in 2014 may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Taking it to talk.

Regarding whether suicide is a manner or cause, I've already had this chat. I conceded defeat, so can't rightly bring it up again. But there are some useful links in there, if you'd like to understand where I was coming from. InedibleHulk (talk) 08:26, March 26, 2015 (UTC)

Your revert

It would be nice if you explained why you reverted my edit on Deaths in 2015. My name isnotdave (talk/contribs) 18:42, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I meant to, but it seems it didn't happen. We use simple references on that page.Nukualofa (talk) 18:45, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Is that a consensus? If so, give me a link to it. My name isnotdave (talk/contribs) 18:48, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It is a consensus, but I have no link. Take it to the talk page.Nukualofa (talk) 18:52, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Adding references in 'Deaths in 2015'

Oh, thank you Nukualofa, I think I understood now! And I hope I sent you this message properly ;) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Odirjmm (talkcontribs) 01:48, 17 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Clive Burr

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

Nohomersryan (talk) 23:16, 14 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Slightly mystified as to why you added Clive Burr to the Deaths in 2016 page - he died in 2013. I have removed the entry. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 23:16, 14 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing to be mystified about. People make mistakes, it happens all the time on that page. Fix it and move on.Nukualofa (talk) 23:21, 14 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings ....

This is to let you of my edit to your original post of the Sally Beauman obit on the Wikipedia "Deaths" page. Everything you had was OK except for the omission of the text "http://" just before the rest of the link www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-36763473

Always remember that (unless otherwise) Wikipedia requires http;// in order for external links to function correctly.

Thanks most kindly for your contribution Peace from Fgf2007 (talk) 13:43, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"Undos"

Per reversion guidelines, that isn't what the Undo button is for. Your edit pretty much overrode my removal, while you added your own changes (not the same thing) while throwing shade my way for improper housekeeping. It's not my "job" to track down a source, when the DI lead clearly says to add one with entries. — Wyliepedia 00:28, 18 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm really sorry I hurt your feelings.Nukualofa (talk) 00:31, 18 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not the fall that kills, but the sudden stop at the end.

Regarding this, I won't revert you, but ask you to consider how long cancer (or many other diseases) takes between starting and finishing. Often years. A fall is external, so different, but directly responsible for death, so the same.

If you appreciate that, revert yourself, but if not, that's cool. InedibleHulk (talk) 21:22, August 28, 2016 (UTC)

Sorry

I accidentally rolled back your edit but immediately reverted my error. All good! WWGB (talk) 08:08, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Woah.

Hi. The editor who just removed the "death announced" tag from Arnold Clark in Deaths in 2017 has obviously, in total "good faith", learnt that the date of death had been established. Unlike yourself, he had only neglected to provided the relevant source, move the subject to the correct date or provide an edit summary. Now, I know that's a lot to be forgetting or neglecting to do, but it doesn't represent removing the tag "for the sake of it". His edit had been 'live' just five minutes! I think a little good grace and no comment is in order some times. Thanks though for getting it right where he had made his "mistakes". Ref (chew)(do) 12:31, 10 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, you're right. Sorry about that. It just happens a lot, and I always double check the source if no new source is added, and it gets a little tiresome sometimes.Nukualofa (talk) 12:44, 10 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Trigger happy?

Fuck me for trying to find her date of death, right? Rusted AutoParts 16:19, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You have tried and failed more than once. Why not wait until it's actually published somewhere? Nukualofa (talk) 16:27, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Cause I thought it was. Guess my translator isn't as good as I thought. Just don't think I'm a dick for trying to find the date of death. Rusted AutoParts 16:31, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I was incorrect yeah, just didn't appreciate the snippyness of the edit summary. Rusted AutoParts 16:59, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This edit summary was an unacceptable outburst. I apologise for that. Rusted AutoParts 22:23, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I was running on the assumption that, with the date being noted on the wiki article, it was sourced and thus I didn't need to track a source. Upon completing that I realized this wasn't the greatest way of verifying. But just in general I search the person/animal to see if any other sources can be found that have more info. In some cases more info doesn't come right away. But in this one there was a source. I'll verify better, but i'd also ask of you to make sure there's no other sources available.
