The Proceedings of the Royal Irish Academy is the journal of the Royal Irish Academy, founded in 1785 to promote the study of Science, Polite Literature, and Antiquities.

The Proceedings, comprising papers presented to the Academy, are correspondingly divided into three sections: A: Mathematical and Physical Sciences,[1] B: Biology and Environment,[2] & C: Archaeology, Culture, History, Literature.[3][4]
