EnbathEttu[4][5] (88[6]) is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language crime thriller drama film written and directed by M.Madhan. Produced by A.Jayakumar, the film stars Madhan in the lead role, alongside an ensemble cast including Upasna Roy, Daniel Balaji, Jayaprakash,G.M.Kumar, Sams, Appukutti, john vijay and "Power star" Srinivasan. Principal photography of the film commenced in September 2016 at Chennai and was completed in February 2017. The film released on 21 July 2017 and received critical acclaim

Plot

A family-oriented man is caught off-guard when his number is misused by a bunch of gangsters. He then tries to find a way out this trouble, highlighting how people, especially the youth, should use technology wisely and be wary of being too exposed to it mainly the negative impact of technology in our lives[7][8].

Dayarathnam composed the songs and Kingsley background score for the film. Madhan Karky bought the audio rights of Enbathettu under his banner, Doopaadoo[10]

Release

The film had a theatrical release on 21[16] July 2017[17], alongside Madhavan,Vijay Sethupatti's Vikram Vedha (2017). In their review of the film,EnbathEttu definitely has minor flaws and lengthy First half but still, the film is a satisfying watch". The reviewer added that "Enbathettu has plenty of positive aspects to discuss but one things have certainly reduced the quality of the film, that unnecessary Commercial sequences, which comes as speed-breakers", while stating "another issue is the length of the film is a bit of a downer as the long drawn out scene composition tests your patience — but despite these flaws, the film is worth a look and hits the target in Second Half.
