The 2017–18 season will see Barnsley playing in the Championship[1] The season covers the period from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018. Barnsley make an announcement on their official Twitter account on the 3 August 2017, that Angus MacDonald is the first team captain, and Adam Davies is the first team vice-captain. [2][3]
