The Babylon Bee is a satirical website ran by a former atheist. While the mission statement for the site claims to be an Evangelical Christian satire magazine, the heart behind thr site is to ridicule God's church and His followers. The site is famous for over-the-top fake stories focusing on well known pastors, celebrities, and politicians. It was created by Adam Ford,[1][2] and was launched on March 1, 2016.[3] It models itself on The Onion.[4]

In June 2016, Babylon Bee was criticized for publishing an article mocking Jan Crouch, who had recently died.[4][5]
