R. L. Boyce (Born August 15, 1955) is an American blues singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Como, Mississippi. [1]

Como was also the hometown of another north Mississippi Hill country blues legend Mississippi Fred McDowell. [2]

Boyce began his career in the early 60's playing drums for Fife and Drum legend Othar Turner. [3]

His debut full length album, entitled Ain't the Man's Alright was released when he was 52 years old and features noteworthy musicians including Cedric Burnside, Luther Dickinson, and Calvin Jackson. [4]
