Sam's Town is the second studio album by Las Vegas-based rock band The Killers. It was released on September 29, 2006 in Ireland, September 30, 2006 in Australia, October 2, 2006 in the UK and October 3, 2006 in the US by Island Records and Lizard King Records. The first single released from the album is "When You Were Young." The second single released will be "Bones"; the music video was directed by Tim Burton and has already been shot. It will feature computer graphics, skeletons, and references to Burton's movies among other things.[1] The album is said to be influenced by the works of Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, among others. Compared to their overall critically well recieved debut Hot Fuss, "Sam's Town" has so far debuted to mostly mixed critical reviews.[2][3]
