Miss Teen US Latina is an American beauty pageant for Latin American teenage girls living in the United States. It is a sister pageant to the Miss Latin America and Miss Latina US pageants. It was first established nationally in 2003. It is owned and organized by Organizacion Miss América Latina, Inc.
The current titleholder is Litzy Torres of Las Vegas Nevada who was crowned on August 13, 2017 in Chicago, Illinois.She is currently 17, is in her last year of Highschool. She represents the latinas as people goals ambitions in life . She is a model.....a role model. Someone many can look up too. She is inspiring and a motivator. History
The first teenage pageant associated with the Miss América Latina Organization took place in 1999, when Kristine Taranco was crowned Miss Teen Florida Latina 1999. However, it wasn't until 2003 that a national pageant was established. Then, Edshelee Torres of Florida took the crown. It has been held every year since, alongside Miss Latina US pageant. Both Miss Latina US 2008 and Miss Teen US Latina 2008 were renamed to Miss Latina US 2009 and Miss Teen US Latina 2009 to coincide with the Miss Latin America numbering (so that the winner of Miss Latina US 2009 would compete in Miss Latin America 2009.) For this reason, there was no Miss Teen US Latina 2008.
