- Hello Rudeboy2811, sorry about this, in the future please be sure to cite reliable sources when changing such information, and furthermore write the place names properly. Alton, Illinois is the proper way to write it, while Alton il is not. Another user has added it already, have a good day. -★- PlyrStar93. →Message me. 🖉← 15:08, 10 September 2017 (UTC)

It is 'constructive'; ' ... a criminal on the streets' sounds like a snippet from the TV guide. The plot IS about his arrest, his escape, and his 'mission', not just being 'on the streets', which has no meaning. A detailed plot would have much more. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.81.246.242 (talk) 02:15, 11 September 2017 (UTC)

- Please check again, already undone my revert before you sent the message. 9/12/2017-------I just saw your comment about removing my comment on the Miss America 2018 page.....I did not expect them to remain there, only so that someone who posted the Non-Finalist Interview info with TBA would see my comments and remove that award mention. There will NOT be a Non-Finalist Interview award this year.....if you bothered to call the national office of Miss America as I DID, they could tell you as they told me today, there was no funding of this Interview award this year, hence no award. So whoever that know-it-all that put on that Interview award mention can just take it off....or I will ask who won it in about six months from now....and it will be the same answer then as today, no one....as no funding was for this non-finalist award. OK? So, ok to take off my comments on Miss America 2018 and here on this board----but there is no award this year....call the pageant offices to ask as I did. Ok?
If you don't immediately start cooperate, remove all the content or at least parts of it. I will have to go further to get it removed from wikipedia's servers. This kind of sensetive information shouldn't be here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vettro (talk • contribs) 00:44, 14 September 2017 (UTC)

- @Azmarai76: Thanks for clarifying. You may remove any content that cannot be verified with a reliable source, although you should not put "Vandalism and lack of proper info without evidence." in the article - it's perfectly fine to put this as a note in the edit summary, but not in the page. Also, I am going to remove the user warning from your talk page. -★- PlyrStar93. →Message me. ← 17:57, 19 September 2017 (UTC)

Link on Jen Richards page...
"Hello, I'm PlyrStar93. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to Jen Richards because they seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thanks. "
Please define inappropriate. The link provided is the correct one and missing... I don't see why adding an external link to a website is innapropriate. Tons of pages do. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.69.232.142 (talk) 01:40, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hello, you may check out Wikipedia:External links. The primary concern here is that external links, while not being inline citations, should normally not be placed in article's body. Note that at this point, I am not talking about the informativeness/usefulness of the link you added to article yet, but you may also check criterion 11/13 of "Links normally to be avoided". -★- PlyrStar93. →Message me. 🖉← 02:04, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
- So if it was linked at the bottom in External links, would that be fine? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.69.232.142 (talk) 02:37, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
- I'm afraid I would still avoid such addition, personally speaking. The site appears as a blog site and it's not by a recognized authority and thus may not be considered reliable. Meanwhile, although created by the subject of the article (according to the article), the site's contents still don't directly relate to the subject. -★- PlyrStar93. →Message me. 🖉← 02:53, 15 September 2017 (UTC)

Notice
I reverted vandalism on your talk page by two IP addresses which were both trying to harass you. I reported one of them and warned the other one. Thanks for the previous advice you gave me. Redgro (talk) 19:20, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Redgro: Thanks very much. For now we are avoiding any edits on that user's talk page since there is an ANI filed regarding this, and we can discuss and decide there whether or not this user's edits are disruptive, given their edit summaries. I also had to look into the school infobox template and realize there actually is a
rival
field and notowned_by
, so I restored this parameter to what this IP made (see edit summary there). There were too many vandal edits at the moment and it's not unusual to make mistakes when looking at all the recent changes and deciding which one appears as vandalism, and apparently I made such a mistake. -★- PlyrStar93. →Message me. 🖉← 20:07, 15 September 2017 (UTC) - @Redgro: Also, it would be better if we refrain from reverting any of the user's edits for the moment. -★- PlyrStar93. →Message me. 🖉← 20:09, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
If you are an administrator, please block this IP because this IP is denying all warnings and continuously break WP:3RR. Pkbwcgs (talk) 19:52, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Pkbwcgs: I'm not an administrator, but I think it's best to avoid any edits on that user's talk page for now, instead let the ANI do it's thing. -★- PlyrStar93. →Message me. 🖉← 19:59, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
Revert question
Hi,
I am new to editing. I am wondering why you have reverted an edit I made to the Lebanese Cinema list of non-exhaustive directors Wiki page.
Is the director not credible? Is linking to an external website not supported? I would really appreciate it if you helped me clarify my editing approaches.
Thank you advance
- Hello Peperklipp, I reverted it because you appeared to be adding external links to sites not directly related to the topic. You can take a look at what are generally considered proper for external links. Also this article could use some cleanup, since quite a few of the names don't have Wikipedia entries and may not be notable. Thanks! -★- PlyrStar93. →Message me. 🖉← 01:34, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
Thank you for responding promptly! I read over the guidelines and understand that the external link I added is not appropriate within the guidelines.

Reverted change
Hey I was wondering what the copyright violation was for the change I made with this edit to Atlassian. I know that the company values are something that the company prides itself on and do believe that it would be constructive. - — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jjl284 (talk • contribs) 00:34, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Jjl284: Hello, this addition contains largely the same content as this page and thus is a copyright violation. Meanwhile, it's in a promotional tone and therefore should not be added to an encyclopedia article (see WP:SPAM and WP:NPOV). Also FYI, to sign your comment, you can type four tildes (
~~~~
) at the end of your message, instead of manually adding your user and talk page links. It will automatically convert to your signature. You can try this in the sandbox. -★- PlyrStar93. →Message me. ← 00:41, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
User talk:NoOtherClub97
When you warned NoOtherClub97 User talk:NoOtherClub97 (level two and three it appears) using Huggle, do you recall which template you applied? The template seems to be conflating disruptive editing and vandalism. It shouldn't (see Wikipedia:Disruptive editing). I want to see if I can get that template fixed. Walter Görlitz (talk) 00:51, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
- Walter Görlitz: Hello, the template is apparently the Huggle-customized {{uw-vandalism2}}. There are a few things I have considered before reverting.
- User changing the image to a non-existent one
- Changing name to something different from the article's title
- Changing owner to Sporting Kansas City which is an opponent of New York Red Bulls
- User has been warned for non-constructive editing before doing the same thing again
- Based on these editing behaviors, I was considering the edit as vandalism, however it is also likely to be a borderline case so disruptive editing fits. Related diffs: 1, 2, 3.
- But anyways, there are several revert reasons given by Huggle you can choose, each corresponding to a specific warning template (assuming all lv1):
- Removal of AfD template - {{uw-afd1}}
- Personal attacks - {{uw-npa1}}
- Inappropriate biographical content - {{uw-biog1}}
- Blanking pages - {{uw-blank1}}
- Removal of content - {{uw-delete1}}
- Factual errors - {{uw-error1}}
- Biased content - {{uw-npov1}}
- Spam - {{uw-spam1}}
- Removal of speedy deletion template - {{uw-speedy1}}
- Editing tests - {{uw-test1}}
- Failing to cite a reliable source - {{uw-unsourced1}}
- Vandalism - {{uw-vandalism1}} - this is the same as pressing the revert button (default is Q) but has a different edit summary
- Above are the only options I can choose from Huggle as a revert reason, and there is no "Disruptive editing". I do agree that Huggle can introduce a new revert reason with the {{uw-disruptive1}} template. Thanks! -★- PlyrStar93. →Message me. ← 02:22, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'm not questioning why you placed the template, uw-disruptive would be the one I would place as well, my issue is with the template's content, and I don't think you have anything to do with that. I checked the templates and didn't see that text, but I'll raise it there. For the record, I use twinkle. Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:37, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
Vandalism is forcibly rejecting a documented opinion writer
A CNN-quoted columnist (Magid) called 98 First Edition evolutionary, not revolutionary. Another columnist said it more strongly, in slightly more technical terms, that it was a "point upgrade" to 95, i.e. unworthy. I simply cited a STILL different opinion writer, who seems to write about both USA-focused and European-focused computer topics.
My SECOND edit was more nuanced, i.e. SOME SAY rather than IT IS. That's not Vandalism Semree (talk) 15:32, 24 September 2017 (UTC)
- Semree: The article is not the place to argue which version is "the real Windows 98". -★- PlyrStar93. →Message me. ← 15:39, 24 September 2017 (UTC)
- Please let us at least agree that it is not vandalism. Also, "IS 'the real'" is NOT better, a mistake I also made. On my next edit, I will definitely use the word WAS, since this is not a discussion about what is but what WAS.
- On a personal note, for the laptop I bought for my younger brother I had the store load SECOND EDITION in place of what it had. Yes it cost, but -- it was a present. Since the article covers both FIRST and SECOND edition, doing a compare and contrast is EXACTLY the right place, unless you are advocating splitting the article into two OR MORE parts (the third being the comparison). Semree (talk) 15:54, 24 September 2017 (UTC)
- On the basis of the "HUGGLE" tag placed on the mistaken REVERT, and having read the Wiki policy stating
- "The principal idea of Huggle as an anti-vandalism tool is to make it possible for Wikipedia to stay as open and free as possible (allowing everyone to edit without any restrictions), while keeping it clean of any vandalism,"
- I am proceeding with the described edit. While I truly do no believe the readers of Wiki will gain by splitting this article, you are entitled to point in that direction. In the meantime, the article has THREE major areas- FIRST EDITION, SECOND EDITION, and a comparison. The comparison is at this point rather weak. I'll see what I can do to improve this, based on the above. Semree (talk) 16:14, 24 September 2017 (UTC)
