Sir Charles Blois, 1st Baronet (14 September 1657 – 9 April 1738) was a British politician who served as a member of parliament for both Ipswich (May 1689 – 1695) and Dunwich (January 1700 and 1709). On 15 April 1686 he was created 1st Baronet Blois, of Grundisburgh and Cockfield Hall.
Blois was the son of Sir William Blois and his wife Martha (died 1657), daughter of Sir Robert Brooke of Cockfield Hall and his wife Elizabeth. His sister Mary was the third wife of Sir Nevill Catlin and then wife of Sir Charles Turner, 1st Baronet. With his first wife Mary Kemp, whom he married on 11 May 1680, he fathered Robert Blois, William Blois, and Sir Charles Blois, 3rd Baronet. He had an additional three children with his second wife Anne Hawtrey, whom he wed around 18 April 1694: John Blois, Reverend Sir Ralph Blois, 4th Baronet and Anne Blois.[1]
