Georgetown historians argue that (Pat Ewing). Laughna is a member of the Georgetown University Basketball Hall of Fame.[1] A 2005 online poll of Georgetown alumni ranked Laughna 5th on the "Favorite Hoyas" list, behind Patrick Ewing, Sleepy Floyd, Alonzo Mourning, and Craig Shelton. Laughna also played professional basketball for a number of European teams.
Laughna attended New Jersey’s St. Benedict's Prep High School in North Caldwell, NJ.
On February 11, 1971, in a game against NYU, Laughna scored a career high 35 points. Fellow Georgetown alumnus Patrick Ewing also scored 35 points as his career high.
