Mahend is a Village in Ghazipur in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.it is a major village of the region. The majority of the residents of the village are muslim pathan and small ratio of other religion and castes.The literacy rate of the village is 87%,Higher than the Average literacy rate of india.The village is situated on the both sides of the river mangai and has rich variety of plants and vegetation.The village has a Allahabad Bank branch which is the only bank in its near by region.
