'The Everest is a future Australian Turf Club Group 1 Weight for Age Thoroughbred horse race to be run over 1,200 metres on turf at Randwick Racecourse in Sydney, Australia.
With prize money of $10 million, it will be the richest race in Australia and the richest turf race in the world. It will be held for the first time on 14 October 2017 and the second Saturday of October thereafter as the feature race of the Spring Carnival.[1][2][3]
