Tony Stone is an American independent filmmaker. His notable works include the music video for R.E.M.'s "It Happened Today" (cinematography),[1] and the films Severed Ways (2007, writer/director), Out of Our Minds (2009, writer/director) and the 2016 documentary Peter and the Farm (director).[2]

He co-owns the Basilica Hudson performance space with his wife, musician Melissa Auf der Maur.[3]
