That's the wrong Universal label. Universal Records did not exist in 1989 when the song was released. The Universal Records that released this song was a short-lived label that got bought out by Capitol in 1990. <span style="color:green">Ten Pound Hammer</span> • (What did I screw up now?) 04:46, 7 November 2017 (UTC)

Song articles

To create an article, for instance James Bonamy's "I Don't Think I Will," you would go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Don't_Think_I_Will. In the event that an unrelated article exists, try adding "_(song)" or eventually "_(James_Bonamy_song)" to the address. Below where it says "Wikipedia does not have an article with this exact name," click on "Start the I Don't Think I Will article." In the empty text box, paste in this code:

" " is a single by American country music artist . Released in , it was the single from the album, . The song reached # on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.

Then, it's simply a matter of filling in the blanks. In the case of "I Don't Think I Will," it would look like this:

"I Don't Think I Will" is a single by American country music artist James Bonamy. Released in 1996, it was the third single from the album, What I Live to Do. The song reached #2 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.

For additional information, I use Allmusic for track lengths, writers and producers (if the album doesn't already have an article containing that information) and LP Discography for B-sides and more specific release dates. Song articles redux

David, I hope you don't let TenPoundHammer's gross overreaction discourage you from creating song articles when your block wears off because you were doing a great job. If you need any help adding references, which you really should be doing, drop a note on my talk page. Eric444 (talk) 06:34, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

Mission Temple Fireworks Stand

Just a heads-up, the Jeff Wood who wrote They Don't Understand isn't the same guy who sang "You Just Get One", according to the ASCAP listings. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 20:18, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to The Way You Love Me (Faith Hill song). Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Novice7 (talk) 06:32, 6 June 2011 (UTC)

'Til I Can Make It on My Own

Looks like it was deleted by accident. I've filed a request with the admin who deleted it, and at WP:REFUND. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 01:29, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Done - could you double-check the reversion reverted-to... just to be sure this is the correct one. Skier Dude (talk) 02:16, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
Just what I suspected. Someone vandalized the article and it got speedy deleted while in a vandalized state. This is why admins should check their work. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 22:31, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Question

Would you be interested in helping me populate the categories in Category:Singles by record label? You can also create new categories for labels that don't have them yet. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 17:56, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

In gratitude

Many thanks for adding a page for "How Do You Get That Lonely" a truly remarkable and deserving song performed by Blaine Larsen. I have added further information to make the article more comprehensive werldwayd (talk) 05:38, 18 April 2012 (UTC)

But I Do Love You

Hi I noticed your edit on "But I Do Love You" and I would like to point out that the iTunes source states that it was released on February 26, 2002 but if you have a reliable source that can prove the single was released in 2001 then it can be changed but I would also like to point out that Amazon.com though it has the wrong released month and day also gives it a 2002 release. Thank you for your edit on the page. Swifty*talk 20:07, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

Queen of Hearts

Hello David829. You'll note I've reverted your recent move of Queen of Hearts (Hank DeVito song). This was due to a discussion I started at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Music#Title disambiguation of popular songs. When I started that thread I cited your move as an example, but intended it to be a discussion about title disambiguations in general as opposed to your move in particular. However, the result of the discussion did seem to rule out "(Dave Edmunds song)" as an appropriate disambiguation for the example article. It occurs to me now that I ought to have notified you of the discussion—I apologize for neglecting to do this at the time. Of course, it's not too late for you to join the discussion, and we can always undo my reversion should new information or opinions come to light or should a new consensus develop. —Psychonaut (talk) 22:01, 8 February 2014 (UTC)

Song stubs

Could you please put a little more effort into your song stubs? Not every song that hit the top 40 of the country chart is automatically notable. Please make sure you have at least one source discussing the song at length. For instance, Are Your Eyes Still Blue only hit #31, but there is more to say about the song because there are two reviews of it and official sheet music. Likewise, Heather's Wall only hit #37, but there is an article from CMT discussing the song at length, along with a review from Billboard of the song. Song content

I would recommend back issues of Billboard and Country Weekly, review sites like The Boot, Country Standard Time, Roughstock, etc. This site also has archives of Radio & Records magazine, which sometimes has reviews or articles on songs. You could also check newspaper archives like newspapers.com to see if any of them have articles on the artist or their material. It's usually easier to get a good article going on a modern song because there will invariably be more sites giving it attention, such as Love Triangle (song). I would recommend taking a look at Cain's Blood, Are Your Eyes Still Blue, and Someday Soon (Ian Tyson song) as examples of reasonably fleshed-out articles on older songs, and using those as examples. Look at Us (Craig Morgan song)

The content you added to Look at Us (Craig Morgan song) is exactly the kind of thing I'd like to see you adding to articles. If you can't figure out how to do the link neatly, then do something like this:

And that will at least create a bare bones footnote that someone else can flesh out if they want. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 02:45, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
