What is the basis for saying that potato vodka is usually considered an inferior type of vodka? User:64.60.140.146 16:50, 23 August 2006
I was wondering the same thing. Shrine to Spirits mentions "Potato vodka is usually regarded as inferior" in another review of a luxury potato vodka. All About Vodka says "connoisseurs tend to consider potato vodka inferior". Answers.com, on their whiskey article, say: "Inferior whiskeys are made from potatoes, beets, and other roots". Perhaps there's a historical bias against root-based products? Unmake 08:13, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
