The 2017–18 season will be Doncaster Rovers's 139th season in their existence, 15th consecutive season in the Football League and first back in League One following promotion last season.[1] Along with League Two, the club will also participate in the FA Cup, EFL Cup and EFL Trophy.

The season covers the period from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018.

On 16 October 2017, Doncaster Rovers were drawn away to East Thurrock United or Ebbsfleet United in the first round.[30] Ebbsfleet United went on to win their replayed match to set to first round tie up.
