*'''Keep'''. Democratic Baptist pastor and public school teacher in Texas rare enough to be notable. Coach of national championship multiwinning team enough to be notable. Running for Congress too. [[User:Hullaballoo Wolfowitz|Hullaballoo Wolfowitz]] 20:43, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

*'''Keep''' -- regardless of whether or not he wins or loses, Jim Henley has mounted a true challenge to the incumbent, and his loss would not be the end of his involvement in politics. At the very least, the page should be kept up until the election in order to provide voters with information. Including information on John Culberson (R-TX), but not providing at least a link to Henley's homepage would represent a bias. [[User:128.42.155.172|128.42.155.172]] 22:28, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

Revision as of 22:29, 12 October 2006

Removed prod tag, sending here for discussion. Original reason for prod: Political candidate and middle-school History/Debate teacher. Unelected, and article padded with school debate team accomplishments. Naconkantari 04:21, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment. Currently, the only source for this article is the campaign's website bio. To me, this counts as self-published information and advocacy, and as such isn't a reliable source for background information. Anyone wishing to see the article kept should probably extend the article to incorporate other sources. Demi T/C 04:29, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete He's a Democrat running for congress in Houston, so I've got to give him credit for shear bloody mindedness. But, he hasn't been elected yet, so no. - Richfife 05:00, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I hope you meant sheer bloody mindedness, or did you have The Texas Chainsaw Massacre in mind? --Calton | Talk 06:59, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Errr... Yeah. What you said. - Richfife 15:55, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
