Football

Brett has played football since he was 7 years old. He was a member of the 8th grade Blalack Middle School football team that finished 8-0 on A-Team and 7-0-1 on B-Team. It was the first time in CFBISD history that a middle school team finished undefeated at both the A-Team level and B-Team level. At the start of his sophomore year, Esch made the varsity football squad at Creekview, but then opted to move down to the JV squad for more playing time.

Basketball

Brett began his basketball career at the age of 6, and retired from the sport after his freshman year.
