== Drake and The 6 ==
Famous Hip-Hop and Rap artist Drake often refers to "The 6" which is Toronto in Canada. The 6 refers to the 6 distinct municipalities, Toronto proper, Scarborough, North York, East York, York, and Etobicoke. The mention of these 6 areas is important not only because this is the place Drake references in his music, but because the culture in these areas is distinct, yet fluid, filled with families from different Caribbean and East African nations, primarily Jamaica and Somalians, and is a breeding ground for music and other art forms. Drake pulls form the culture in these neighborhoods and uses them as inspiration for his music, bringing the language and slang to the American mainstream.<ref>{{Cite news|url=http://www.mtv.com/news/2751598/toronto-world-drake-halal-gang/|title=Toronto World: Drake, Halal Gang, and the Diaspora in the 6|work=MTV News|access-date=2017-11-28|language=en}}</ref>
