Muumāji (ムウマージ) is one of the Template:Pokenum fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media, created by Satoshi Tajiri. The purpose of Muumāji in the games, anime and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers.[2]

It's Japanese name is a portmanteau of the words 夢魔 ([muma] Error: {{nihongo}}: text has italic markup (help)), nightmare, and mage.

Characteristics

Like its previous evolved form Misdreavus, Muumāji posseses a feminine appearance and it also has some characteristics similar to a witch, but despite this it comes in both genders.

Muumāji wears a big hat like a witch, and looks like it is wearing a gown with two untied ribbons floating beside it. Like its pre-evolved form, it has a floating necklace with one large gem in the front.

In the video games

Muumaji will be one of many new Pokémon to make its first appearance upon the release of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl for the Nintendo DS.

Misdreavus evolves into Muumaaji with the use of a Dark Stone. Muumaaji's type is same as Misdreavus, a Ghost-type Pokémon, giving in an advantage against Fighting and Psychic-type Pokémon. It is vulnerable to Dark and other Ghost-type Pokémon too.

Like Misdreavus, Muumaaji is good in terms of Special Attack, Special Defense and also Speed. These three stats of Muumaaji have a base stat of 105.
