The reference under "further reading" could be expanded:
The Life and Letters of Sir Henry Wotton (2 vols), Logan Pearsall Smith, Oxford 1907. This book was reprinted by Oxford University Press in 1966.
Though letters are perhaps not "works", three quarters of the book is letters written by him and so is by far the bulk of his available writings, and perhaps should be mentioned in the article itself. [[User:Davidnugget|Davidnugget]] ([[User talk:Davidnugget|talk]]) 21:47, 26 December 2017 (UTC)

The full 'money' quote is more a jab at journos than at diplos: "An ambassador is a man of virtue sent to lie abroad for the commonwealth; a newswriter is a man without virtue who lies at home for himself." -- published in Reliquiae Wottonianae, or, A collection of lives, letters, poems, with characters of sundry personages: and other incomparable pieces of language and art also additional letters to several persons, not before printed, by Henry Wotton, 1651.

This should be added to the relevant para. 71.217.75.191 16:54, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

His poem 'You Meaner Beauties...' was also set to music by his contemporary Michael East - don't know if that's worth including. 91.84.217.66 (talk) 21:44, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
