And a mammoth is a subset of a elephant.
And a mammoth is a subset of a elephant.

:This is incorrect. Mammoth are not a subset of Elephant. Both Elephants and Mammoth belong to the same family, but are different species.

:According to this logic, Domestic Cats, Lions and Tigers (and all other Felids) should all share a page as they all belong to the family 'Felidae'. [[User:HappyGod|HappyGod]] ([[User talk:HappyGod|talk]]) 07:34, 19 January 2018 (UTC)

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just modified one external link on Elephant. Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).

Elephant

Both mammoths and extant elephants are elephants. I ask for merging this article with Elephantidae.

A ptarmigan is a subset of a grouse.

A anaconda is a subset of a boa.

A woolly rhinoceros is a subset of a rhinoceros.

And a mammoth is a subset of a elephant.

This is incorrect. Mammoth are not a subset of Elephant. Both Elephants and Mammoth belong to the same family, but are different species.
According to this logic, Domestic Cats, Lions and Tigers (and all other Felids) should all share a page as they all belong to the family 'Felidae'. HappyGod (talk) 07:34, 19 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
