Hi! Am not sure if you have notice it or not, but the annual editing competition Wikipedia:WikiCup has started and the signup is open till 5 February 2017. The cup encourages content improvement and tries to make editing on Wikipedia more fun; and it did that for me last year. I have hence decided to drop this friendly note hoping that you would take part. Although the signup ends on 5th Feb, the earlier you sign in the earlier you start scoring. Happy New Year and Happy Editing! §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 04:53, 6 January 2017 (UTC)

FAC
Hey! How are you? I saw your comments on my FAC and I really appreciate your concern about the article. I just want to inform you (in case you didn't read above resolved comments there) that its very hard to find sources for a 2004 or any pre-2010s Bollywood film unless it is a Mughae-e-Azam, Sholay, DDLJ or say "pop culture Indian hits". I really appreciate your oppose and I will try to resolve your comments. I would like to inform you that there are no information available for its filming, pre or post production and other stuff.....well, I will still try my best. In case you don't know, checkout my other articles: Mary Kom, Kaminey and others to know about "How much I can write if sources are available!". And, please check Kalidas (film) (an FA), which has a size similar to my article and it also has no filming schedule info and stuff. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Krish! (talk • contribs)
- Thanks for your edits. I really appreciate your efforts. I have made few changes to avoid confusion as initially three reviews were placed at very confusing places. By the way, Do you have any idea to expand the production section by four or five lines? Once again thanks for your inputs, it really made the article look better.Krish | Talk 18:13, 9 January 2017 (UTC)
- @Krish!: Yeah quite a few details could be added, i'll put up the comments at the FAC, and make some minor changes myself. NumerounovedantTalk 04:03, 10 January 2017 (UTC)
- Did you know what the directors really meant by saying "reverse" about Bryant case? Well they meant "power". In the film the sexual harassment case is filed by the "powerful" (the boss) and the accused is a normal employee. In real life, it was a fan (not powerful) and the accused was very powerful (the famous player). They wanted to showcase how money and power can change the same scenerio. I had seen their interview somewhere, and since the given article doesn't specify this, I thought it was better to remove.Krish | Talk 10:25, 12 January 2017 (UTC)

The Kapil Sharma Show
OK, now I agree that the article is not meeting GA criteria currently. Is the article meeting B grade criteria. If yes, please rate it! If no, then please rate it as C class because the article is meeting at least C class criteria. I want the article to be assessed at any class criteria. - Done. NumerounovedantTalk 10:27, 9 January 2017 (UTC)
- One more: Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi. Please, it's a kind request to rate it. This one is also the same length as that of The Kapil Sharma Show. So a C class rating will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Mr. Smart ℒION ⋠☎️✍⋡ 06:57, 10 January 2017 (UTC)
Dear Zindagi
I've nominated the article for GA. This one is in good shape than The Kapil Sharma Show. Hope you would review it. Mr. Smart ℒION ⋠☎️✍⋡ 09:04, 9 January 2017 (UTC)
- @Mr. Smart LION: I went through the article briefly. The bits that are required are there, however IMO the article needs a thorough copy-edit as the language is too casual in parts. It also has grammar issues and will greatly benefit from a c.e., so you may put it up for one at the WP:GOCE. I will be happy to review it after the c.e. NumerounovedantTalk 10:19, 9 January 2017 (UTC)

- @Mr. Smart LION: Hmm, that's a little strange because I do find the prose to be weak and lacking in parts. Anyway, right now it will be a little difficult for me to get to this one, but I might find some time in a week or so? NumerounovedantTalk 11:11, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

Kalki Koechlin
Hey, congrats on her main page appearance tomorrow. She and Hrithik Roshan share same birthday (same day but not year) and I've nominated the latter for GA. Interested in reviewing? - FrB.TG (talk) 11:47, 9 January 2017 (UTC)
- @FrB.TG: Thank you, that's a fun fact! XD And as a matter of fact, I did go through Roshan's article on seeing your nomination. I was hesitant because of its size and my time restrictions on Wikipedia, but I might just review it after all. NumerounovedantTalk 12:47, 9 January 2017 (UTC)
- That is okay. I don't have the patience of waiting for someone pick it up from GAN (I rarely nominate an article). Perhaps your friend, @Aoba47: could review it. I think he is a nice reviewer and seems to be an avid GA reviewer, though I am not sure of how much interest Bollywood is to him. - FrB.TG (talk) 17:22, 9 January 2017 (UTC)
- Oh yes I could talk at lengths about his humility, and yes he would never say no to a review if you were to ask. XD However, I already feel awful for making him review a rather under prepared article, so I think the least I can do is take one for him. I'll pick up the review for Roshan's article and he can share his views and suggestions. NumerounovedantTalk 17:33, 9 January 2017 (UTC)

Nice to see her on the Main page today, thank you! - Would you hae time for looking at a FAC, peace and joy?
- Thanks for the help with Koechlin's article, couldn't have happened without you! As for the FAC, I am not sure if I can be of any help there because of my unfamiliarity with the topic itself. I think I might be a little out of depth here and would not be able to offer much constructive feedback. NumerounovedantTalk 11:17, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of How to Save a Life (Grey's Anatomy)
The article How to Save a Life (Grey's Anatomy) you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needing to be addressed. If these are fixed within 7 days, the article will pass; otherwise it may fail. See Talk:How to Save a Life (Grey's Anatomy) for things which need to be addressed. Hi, I intend to take it to FAC. Before that, I had opened a peer review which I now intend to close as it's been open for long. Would you be interested in posting comments? I'll close the PR after they're resolved. Kailash29792 (talk) 05:20, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
- I remember going through the article briefly a couple of days ago, and it seemed fairly well written. I already have a couple of things going on here, but I will surely try to get around to the PR. Maybe later today, if not I'll let you know otherwise. NumerounovedantTalk 11:09, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

- @Kailash29792:Yes I might get to it later this evening, thanks for your comments on Waiting. Also, if you get a chance you must watch the film, it's really one of the finer films that came out of Bollywood last year. NumerounovedantTalk 10:03, 24 January 2017 (UTC)

March 2017 WikiCup newsletter
And so ends the first round of the competition, with 4 points required to qualify for round 2. It would have been 5 points, but when a late entrant was permitted to join the contest in February, a promise was made that his inclusion would not result in the exclusion of any other competitor. To achieve this, the six entrants that had the lowest positive score of 4 points have been added to the 64 people who otherwise would have qualified. As a result, some of the groups have nine contestants rather than eight. Our top four scorers in round 1 were:
- Cas Liber, last year's winner, led the field with two featured articles on birds and a total score of 674.
- Iry-Hor, a WikiCup newcomer, came next with a featured article, a good article and a tally of 282 bonus points for a score of 517. All these points came from the article Nyuserre Ini, an Ancient Egyptian pharaoh,
- 1989, another WikiCup newcomer, was in joint third place at 240. 1989 has claimed points for two featured lists and one good article relating to anime and comedy series, all of which were awarded bonus points.
- Peacemaker67 shared third place with five good articles and thirteen good article reviews, mostly on naval vessels. He is also new to the competition.
The largest number of DYKs have been submitted by Vivvt and The C of E, who each claimed for seven, and MBlaze Lightning achieved eight articles at ITN. Carbrera and Peacemaker67 each claimed for five GAs and Krishna Chaitanya Velaga was well out in front for GARs, having reviewed 32. No featured pictures, featured topics or good topics yet, but we have achieved three featured articles and a splendid total of fifty good articles.
So, on to the second round. Remember that any content promoted after the end of round 1 but before the start of round 2 can be claimed in round 2. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points equally.
If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is a good article candidate, a featured process, or anything else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to help keep down the review backlogs! Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Ben Affleck
Hello, you offered suggestions on Ben Affleck's article last year as part of a Good Article nomination and a Peer Review. I wondered if you would please look at the article again and share your thoughts? In preparation for another GA nomination, I've been working on your suggestions.
I've fixed the issues with bare and dead links. I cut way down on the quotes from Ben's significant others, and trimmed the Eastern Congo Initiative significantly, moving much of the content to the organisation's own article. Popeye191 (talk) 16:22, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Popeye191: It's a long article and I am not as active as I want to be on Wikipedia at the moment, so it might be a long review. If that's not an issue than sure I'll take a look. NumerounovedantTalk 11:38, 22 March 2017 (UTC)

- Hey! I have tweaked the further sections, you should look at it. I would like to tell you that the article considerably changes during a c/e by GOCE, which means the unfamiliar editor sometimes misinterpret the sentences and they often re-write then differently. Sometimes, small mistakes are invisible to the eyes and that is why FACs are held. I would be glad if you could continue the review or give a c/e yourself. Your review has definitely helped the article. Thanks.Krish | Talk 11:36, 2 April 2017 (UTC)

Although this article passed FA, it was later revealed that two of the sources extensively used in the article were mirror publications: books that cannot be used on Wiki, no matter how much they copy from us. As a result, I had to rework the article to a great extent, and now I've listed it for WP:FAR. Please post comments if necessary. --Kailash29792 (talk) 12:19, 2 April 2017 (UTC)
Request for help (Liz Sanbourne)
Hello again. Thank you for your help with my Simone Russell FAC; I greatly appreciate your commentary/feedback as it can be somewhat cringey to look back at one of the first articles that I worked on. I am currently revising the second article that I ever worked on after joining Wikipedia (Liz Sanbourne), and I was wondering if you could look through it and provide some copyedits and/or comments about it. I strongly believe that I have exhausted all of the possible resources about this character, and I have been playing around with the idea of putting it up for FAC, but I would greatly appreciate your feedback. If I do put this up for FAC, this would be my last FAC for an article in this topic, as the last GA remaining is too far off for any considerations in FAC and I would like to take a break from working on articles relating to this show. Thank you either way! Aoba47 (talk) 19:40, 2 April 2017 (UTC)
- @Aoba47: Of course, I'll take a look at it soon. NumerounovedantTalk 08:21, 3 April 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you! Aoba47 (talk) 12:01, 3 April 2017 (UTC)
- @Aoba47: Where do you want me put the comments? I don't think editing directly without clarifying is feasible here, owing to my lack of knowledge on the topic. NumerounovedantTalk 15:18, 3 April 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you again for your help; you can put the comments in the talk page. I apologize for the inconvenience. Hope you are having a wonderful start to your week so far. Aoba47 (talk) 15:21, 3 April 2017 (UTC)
- Alright, will do. And you can stop thanking me, it's a delight to read some of those articles. You put in so much heart into them, and it shows. NumerounovedantTalk 15:29, 3 April 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you, and it is always helpful to hear feedback in order to get better. Let me know if you need any help with any of projects as you have been helping me a lot lately so I want to make sure that I can do something for you as well. Aoba47 (talk) 16:25, 3 April 2017 (UTC)
- @Aoba47: I will, thanks for the comments at Waiting's FAC. I do have a question for you, is there a specific reason why you chose the phrasing "X is a fictional character on the series Y" instead of using "from"? I mean there is nothing wrong with the phrasing, but it somehow gives me the idea that the character is still "on" the show, even if the character?series in no longer on air. It really is nothing, but I thought that I might as well ask. NumerounovedantTalk 19:10, 3 April 2017 (UTC)
- That is a really good point; I actually never thought about it really. I think (to the best of my recollections) that I most likely copied the format from either a FA or GA on a fictional character. I have checked and the FA on Pauline Fowler uses "from" rather than "on". I agree with your logic, and I have altered this in the article. Aoba47 (talk) 19:20, 3 April 2017 (UTC)
- @Aoba47: I hope the edits were helpful, even though there wasn't much to do because the article was already in a really good shape. Let me know if I can help more with it or anything at all. NumerounovedantTalk 20:22, 3 April 2017 (UTC)
- Your edits were very helpful and improved the article a great deal. Thank you for your help! Aoba47 (talk) 20:26, 3 April 2017 (UTC)

- @Aoba47: I went through the article yesterday, while working on Liz's article. Will take a more thorough look and get back to you, maybe by tomorrow. NumerounovedantTalk 18:43, 4 April 2017 (UTC)

Need help and guidness
Hey Numerounovedant, how are you?? I want to discuss something with you about Vidya Balan's article on Wikipedia. Since you're a senior editor, so I think that I would be good to seek help and guidness from you.
There is an article on Wikipedia about "List of Hindi film clans". This article also features the "Roy Kapur family" clan. Vidya Balan is married to Siddharth Roy Kapur, so that means that Roy Kapur family is also Vidya Balan's family and the members of the family are her in-laws. And everyone knows that In-laws are relatives. So I replaced this "|relatives = Priyamani (second cousin)" with this "|relatives = See Roy Kapur family" on her info-box section ("List of Hindi film clans#Roy Kapur family" also has name of Priyamani) but a user whose name is "Krimuk2.0" reverted my edits with these reasons "Her in-laws aren't her relatives, but her husband's" and "In-laws are what they are, not relatives. also, stop using personal attacks unless you wish to be blocked". Now you tell me what should I do. I know that I am right, In-laws are family members, but he reverted my edits twice with lame excuses. Now I need your help please guide me that what should I do now?? Leave a message on my talk-page. It would be so kind of you. Thank you. Many Words (talk) 16:48, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
- @Many Words: Sorry, somehow I completely read over it. As for your concenrs I believe that the Roy-Kapoor does not warrant a prominent mention as they are not immediate family. I am sure that the article mentions her relationship with them in the appropriate section. NumerounovedantTalk 06:39, 18 April 2017 (UTC)

Keira Knightley filmography
This list looks a bit fork-y to me. You should have discussed before creating it separately. I'm witnessing a lot of such lists on WP. Don't mind, just expressing myself. Yashthepunisher (talk) 19:36, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- @Yashthepunisher: No, I totally understand, I should've asked. That's part of the reason why I mentioned "for now" in the edit summary. As discussed on my talk page, I think it's great if you conduct the GA review. But the GOCE editing shall be finished first. Before that, there are two sentences I think I could use your help in paraphrasing:
- The book 40 Retakes: Bollywood Classics You May Have Missed says, My father was also the editor of the famous Tamil weekly magazine, Ananda Vikatan, and a close friend of R.K. Narayan from Mysore. During their discussions, a nice screenplay full of satire and humour came up with the help of Narayan. Immediately, my father launched the Tamil movie called Miss Malini, with Kothamangalam Subbu, a satirist himself and a lyricist in the role that Motilal played in the Hindi version. I've already written "Soon after the screenplay developed, Narayan's friend, Gemini Studios owner S. S. Vasan launched the film", but I think it can be further expanded.
- This source does not explicitly appear to state that Miss Malini was Narayan's only film screenplay. The interviewer Randor Guy asks Narayan's brother Ramachandran if he wrote for any other film, to which he replies, "He wrote a story for Jupiter Pictures, Coimbatore, but it was never produced" and "Many writers worked on Avvaiyar and Narayan was one among them. But, I have no idea how much of his work Vasan used." According to Guy, Narayan wrote a treatment for Moondru Pillaigal, but that's far as it went. So is it safe to say (using this source) that Miss Malini was the only screenplay written by Narayan for a released film? --Kailash29792 (talk) 05:52, 29 April 2017 (UTC)
- @Kailash29792: Hey, here's what i feel-
- The quote regarding the screenplay seems a little vague to me in the context that an entire screenplay came up during"discussions". I think that the quote doesn't really give away much, were they planned discussions? Casual conversations? A little bit of both? I mean the whole context changes with these possibilities, if you can dig up just a little more about the "discussions", I am sure we can be more explicit about the piece. If not, we can still expand upon the "satire and humour" bit.
- Also, yes I believe that as long as you say "for a released film", the source can be used to substantiate the Narayan's screenplay claim. However, this might read as irrelevant to some, but a quick and crisp mention of the fact that Narayan did write for films (irrespective of the script's fate), would not hurt either.
- I hope that my comments help. NumerounovedantTalk 09:48, 30 April 2017 (UTC)
- Partially Done. I've added a footnote explaining Narayan's other contributions to cinema, but I'll discuss the screenplay/discussions part with others before expanding it. --Kailash29792 (talk) 11:10, 30 April 2017 (UTC)

May 2017 WikiCup newsletter
The second round of the competition has now closed, with just under 100 points being required to qualify for round 3. YellowEvan just scraped into the next round with 98 points but we have to say goodbye to the thirty or so competitors who didn't achieve this threshold; thank you for the useful contributions you have made to the Cup and Wikipedia. Our top scorers in round 2 were:
- Cas Liber, led the field with five featured articles, four on birds and one on astronomy, and a total score of 2049, half of which came from bonus points.
- 1989 was in second place with 826 points, 466 of which were bonus points. 1989 has claimed points mostly relating to anime and Japanese-related articles.
- Peacemaker67 took third place with two FAs, one GA and seven GARs, mostly on naval vessels or military personnel, scoring 543 points.
- Other contestants who scored over 400 points were Freikorp, Carbrera, and Czar. Of course all these points are now wiped out and the 32 remaining contestants start again from zero in round 3.
Vivvt submitted the largest number of DYKs (30), and MBlaze Lightning achieved 13 articles at ITN. Carbrera claimed for 11 GAs and Argento Surfer performed the most GARs, having reviewed 11. So far we have achieved 38 featured articles and a splendid 132 good articles. Commendably, 279 GARs have been achieved so far, more than double the number of GAs.
So, on to the third round. Remember that any content promoted after the end of round 2 but before the start of round 3 can be claimed in round 3. Remember too that you must claim your points within 10 days of "earning" them. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points equally.
If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article nominations, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to help keep down the review backlogs! The WikiCup
As a WikiCup judge, I have rejected three of your submissions for the WikiCup because they were made too late. The relevant rule states "contestants have 10 days to nominate their work after promotion (for good and featured content), appearance on the main page (for did you knows and in the news articles) or the completion of good article reviews. Work submitted after this time is no longer eligible." In this case it was 21, 18 and 26 days. In fact, Ellen Pompeo would not have been eligible in any event because you had not done significant work on the article during the course of the competition (ie during 2017) before the GA review. Sorry about that. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:43, 31 May 2017 (UTC)

WikiCup 2017 July newsletter
The third round of the competition has finished in a flurry of last minute activity, with 288 points being required to qualify for round 4. It was a hotly competitive round with all but four of the contestants exceeding the 106 points that was necessary to proceed to round 4 last year. Coemgenus and Freikorp tied on 288, and both have been allowed to proceed, so round 4 now has one pool of eight competitors and one of nine.
Round 3 saw the achievement of a 26-topic Featured topic by MPJ-DK as well as 5 featured lists and 13 featured articles. PanagiotisZois and SounderBruce achieved their first ever featured articles. Carbrera led the GA score with 10, Tachs achieved 17 DYKs and MBlaze Lightning 10 In the news items. There were 167 DYKs, 93 GARs and 82 GAs overall, this last figure being higher than the number of GAs in round 2, when twice as many people were taking part. Even though contestants performed more GARs than they achieved GAs, there was still some frustration at the length of time taken to get articles reviewed.
As we start round 4, we say goodbye to the fifteen or so competitors who didn't quite make it; thank you for the useful contributions you have made to the Cup and Wikipedia. Remember that any content promoted after the end of round 3 but before the start of round 4 can be claimed in round 4. Remember too that you must claim your points within 10 days of "earning" them (some people have fallen foul of this rule and the points have been removed).
If you are concerned that your nomination, whether it be for a good article, a featured process, or anything else, will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. It would be helpful if this list could be cleared of any items no longer relevant. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to keep down the review backlogs! Loev FAC
Very sorry to hear about the outcome of the FAC. Although Ceranthor may have been right in most of his comments, did you think any of them was based on the article's factual accuracy? Because sometimes I feel that, regardless of the prose, it is the article's FA (factual accuracy, not this one) that matters. --Kailash29792 (talk) 04:31, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
- Ugh not really, honestly Kailash, it was an awfully difficult plot to write because of all the undertones and connotations attached to it. I've had to change it so many times that I am not even sure if that actually is true to what the film portrayed. As for the production section, I am sure you're familiar with how difficult it is to look up sources for independent films in India. I think I might have invested too much into it, and after almost 300 edits I think it came down to redundant reading. I just didn't feel up for actually having to go through it again. It looks mostly fine to me as it stands. The review, on the other hand, I believe could have gone better had the reviewer just put in/removed the commas/articles (which were his major concerns from what i draw) instead of having listed them. I would have been easier for both sides, as there was absolutely no part that was well substantiated. I am not as active here as I used to be, and crazy time has gone by since I began with this one. NumerounovedantTalk 05:07, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Numerounovedant, I just wanted to clarify something about this FAC. I opposed per section 1a of the featured article criteria. Featured articles must represent the best of Wikipedia, and that means they have to be professionally written, which I do not think is true for the Loev article as it currently stands (though it is well-written). Also, it's not true that my major concerns were comma usage; in fact, just four were. I'm sorry that you found my review frustrating, but at the end of the day you nominated the article to get feedback, and I provided extremely specific and detailed suggestions to try and give you an idea of some methods for improving the article to an FA standard. I hope you continue working on this article, as I think it's engaging and well-written, and could reach FA with some hard work and determination. Best of luck with everything, ceranthor 19:33, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Ceranthor: I do appreciate the time that put into offering the comments, it was just long overdrawn FAC. Thanks for the feedback. NumerounovedantTalk 16:47, 29 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi, Vedant. I am sorry that it had to turn out this way. I hope that this does not discourage you from producing more articles for the encyclopedia and perhaps renominating the article sometime later; of course there is much more to an article than a bronze star. You did a wonderful work with Loev. Good luck with your future endeavor. – FrB.TG (talk) 21:05, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
- Of course not, FrB.TG. It can frustrating during an FAC, waiting forr comments, and honestly after fourty days the thought of a source review still to come with the rest of it wasn't particularly exciting. I'd rather work on a new article, and there are a lot of things that I still want on work on here. Thanks for looking out, sir. I appreciate it. NumerounovedantTalk 16:47, 29 July 2017 (UTC)

WikiCup 2017 September newsletter
Round 4 of the WikiCup has ended and we move forward into the final round. In round 4, a total of 12 FAs, 3 FLs, 44 GAs, 3 FLs, 79 DYKs, 1 ITN and 42 GARs was achieved, with no FPs or FTs this time. Congratulations to Peacemaker67 on the Royal Yugoslav Navy Good Topic of 36 items, and the 12 featured articles achieved by Cas Liber (5), Vanamonde93 (3), Peacemaker67 (2), Adityavagarwal (1) and 12george1 (1). With a FA scoring 200 points, and bonus points available on top of this, FAs are likely to feature heavily in the final round. Meanwhile Yellow Evan, a typhoon specialist, was contributing 12 DYKs and 10 GAs, while Adityavagarwal and Freikorp topped the GAR list with 8 reviews each. As we enter the final round, we are down to eight contestants, and we would like to thank those of you who have been eliminated for the useful contributions you have made to the Cup and Wikipedia. The lowest score needed to reach round 5 was 305, and I think we can expect a highly competitive final round.
Remember that any content promoted after the end of round 4 but before the start of round 5 can be claimed in round 5. Remember too that you must claim your points within 10 days of "earning" them. If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed. It would be helpful if this list could be cleared of any items no longer relevant. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to reduce the review backlogs! Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck, and let the best man (or woman) win! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Hi. Thankyou for your participation in the challenge series or/and contests. In November The Women in Red World Contest is being held to try to produce new articles for as many countries worldwide and occupations as possible. There will be over $4000 in prizes to win, including Amazon vouchers and paid subscriptions. If this would appeal to you and you think you'd be interested in contributing new articles on Indian actresses or whatever during this month please sign up in the participants section. The articles done may also count towards the ongoing challenge. If you're not interested in prize money yourself but are willing to participate and raise money to buy books about women for others to use, this is also fine. Help would also be appreciated in drawing up the lists of missing articles. If you think of any missing articles please add them to the Indian list in the sub page on Asia at Missing articles. Thankyou, and if taking part, good luck!♦ Dr. Blofeld 09:12, 5 October 2017 (UTC)

WikiCup 2018
So the 2017 WikiCup has come to an end. Congratulations to the winner, to the other finalists and to all those who took part. 177 contestants signed up, more than usual, but not all of them submitted entries in the first round. Were editors attracted by the cash prizes offered for the first time this year, or were these irrelevant? Do the rules and scoring need changing for the 2018 WikiCup? If you have a view on these or other matters, why not join in the WikiCup discussion about next year's contest? Hi
Thanks for your comments and support at the FLC. How are you? It's been a while. Yashthepunisher (talk) 11:37, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
- Hey Yash, yess long time! I've been good, thanks for asking. Been busy with final year of college and other things. How have you been? NumerounovedantTalk 11:42, 27 November 2017 (UTC)

- Yess, just six more months xD. I did have plans to go back to Knightley's article, a couple of Grey's Anatomy episodes. I also wanted to work on Sonia Gandhi, but that turned out exacly how i thought it would. So, I'll give that a rest and do a lot of homework for the artcile's main body first, maybe in the sandbox. I also wanted to work on Ribbon's article. You should watch it, if at all you get a chance, it's an impressive debut film.
- What about you? I'd love to be the sidekick on one of your projects, if you need one as I really don't feel up for talking up anything new already. NumerounovedantTalk 12:27, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
- Articles related to politics are always tough to work on. Sure, films like Ribbon and Death in the Gunj are on my watch-list now. And Don't be so harsh on yourself, you have done much for Indian cinema articles here and we can work as collaborators and not as some 'sidekick'. I'm currently working on Satya. Lets see. Yashthepunisher (talk) 13:14, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
- It's been a weird year for Indian cinema, no film could inspire me to work here whatsoever. That has a part to play in my inactivity. Also, particularly interesting have been my renewed and newfound interest sports and politics respectively.
- But yes, I'd love to work together, maybe somewhere we can contribute with a similar level of interest. Anddd, a sidekick may as well be just as good the hero. xD NumerounovedantTalk 13:39, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
- Trapped, Toilet, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Newton and Death in the Gunj were quite good this year. Sure thing, we will definitely collaborate in the near future. Cheers! Yashthepunisher (talk) 15:25, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
- Agreed Yash, I've seen 3 of them. Will try and watch Newton and Toilet too.

Hello, Numerounovedant. This is a courtesy notice that the copy edit you requested for Hannah Baker at the Guild of Copy Editors requests page is now complete. All feedback welcome! Cheers, Baffle gab1978 (talk) 00:59, 29 December 2017 (UTC)) |
Hi Numerounovedant, I've significantly reduced the 'storyline' section, but it could still use some futher work. The Reception section has lots of off-topic text about the series, rather than the character, that should be removed to 13 Reasons Why per WP:COATRACK and Stay on topic. I'll leave that up to other editors though. Cheers, Baffle gab1978 (talk) 00:59, 29 December 2017 (UTC)

Request for Help with Current FAC
Hello again! I hope that you are having a wonderful week so far. I was wondering if you could possibly help me with my current FAC? I would be more than happy to review anything in return for your help. Either way, good luck with your current work and your future projects. Aoba47 (talk) 02:08, 29 December 2017 (UTC)

- Thank you! Aoba47 (talk) 06:34, 29 December 2017 (UTC)
- I see that you've asked for a status report at the FAC. I've been through article and do not any glaring flaws that need to be discussed as such. I think it's pretty much FA ready, and should pass the review. That said, I'll offer comments if need be. Good luck with the nomination Aoba47. NumerounovedantTalk 14:04, 31 December 2017 (UTC)

I apologize for asking for your help again so quickly, but since you did not get a chance to comment on my last FAC, I was wondering if you could do a review for my current one. Hi Numerounovedant, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. Margarita with a Straw filming
Here are my comments:
- "Snow machines were used to create the artificial environment required for various sequences set during winter season. Koechlin and Revathi had to wear woollen clothes." — This portion doesn't have quite a good description, no offense. Perhaps "Snow machines were used to create the artificial environment required for various sequences set during winter season. As a result, Koechlin and Revathi had to wear woollen clothes."
- Tweaked.
- "The crew also faced difficulties in shooting certain scenes; the van that carried Koechlin's wheelchair broke and had to be manually held together while shooting." — Avoid repetition of "shooting" in the same sentence. BTW, it reads more like "the van" had a breakdown or something and not the chair. Do tweak it a little bit. Thanks.
- It's quite ridiculous but it was the van broke down. xD Although they had no scenes where it was required to move, but the crew did hold the van manually whole Koechlin shot for a scene inside it.
- Oh, LOL. — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 12:22, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
- "attended the workshop conducted by Bose herself." — Put a "a" instead of "the".
That's pretty much it. Otherwise, the section looks good. — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 12:00, 5 January 2018 (UTC)

Koechlin is French, period
Not that I am arguing with you over the topic of her nationality, but from that recent source which proves she is legally French, I have removed "Indian-born" from the lead, since she is not genetically Indian. Feel free to rewrite, not revert. ----Kailash29792 (talk) 12:02, 9 January 2018 (UTC)
- @Kailash29792:It's perfectly fine Kailash. I just read the context section here and thought that the "place of birth should not be mentioned in the lead unless they are relevant to the subject's notability" bit was particularly relevant in her case. She is not widley known in the French film industry or the country as such. So, I believe that her being born and brought up in India is an especially significant detail (I know that you'd mostly agree that her being Indian is relevant, just pointing out the reasoning for my actions here). Let me know if a sentence like: "Born in Pudducherry, India to French parents..." sounds like good option. Thank you. VedantTalk 12:29, 9 January 2018 (UTC)
- @Kailash29792: People don't seem to be convinced. What do you suggest be done? VedantTalk 14:00, 9 January 2018 (UTC)

January 2018
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Sonia Gandhi. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
- Given you have spent entire month of December 2017 edit warring over the lead on Sonia Gandhi and now you are making mass changes again without sources or consensus and mostly those edits that were only supported by you, it is now time for you to stop this. Capitals00 (talk) 14:49, 12 January 2018 (UTC)
- The only problem is that that nothing constructive has been done. I told you exactly where to look for refs in the summary; mentioned policies that are supposed to support the changes; started a talk discussion; you may want to put this message on your own talk page too. Let the page be as it is, it deserves peace more than anything else. VedantTalk 15:07, 12 January 2018 (UTC)

Nationality of Kalki Koechlin
Hi Numerounovedant,
I was correcting dablinks when I removed the nationality as French in the infobox, without knowing that there have been disputes on it. I haven't made any further changes than that. While in the Ouest website she mentions of having a French passport, they also mention [qui a été son mari pendant sept ans] on her being married to Anurag Kashyap for 7 years, which is incorrect. In these sources 1 and 2, she mentions of having an Indian citizenship. Now as India doesn't grant dual citizenship, there's some issue with the nationality in the article. Your thoughts?,
Thanks, MT TrainDiscuss 15:09, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
- Hey Mark the train, thanks for dropping by; I wasn't too sure about the Ouest source at first either. What makes it even more ambiguous is the lack of a proper date (I couldn't find one in the article). Now that you came up with a source that is as recent as November 2016, I would ideally like to go by it. It is her word against her, literally, in which case we should go by more recent source which I believe is The Hindu piece (The Ouest source mentions that she has been a part of about a "dozen" films, which suggests that it must be a lot older than 2016). I think we can back to the Indian nationality then. VedantTalk 15:20, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
- I also had doubts with the date of that article as the only reference to her Bollywood work is mentioned as Dev D, which was released way back in 2009. MT TrainDiscuss 16:02, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
- Did any of you try viewing the French site's source page to find its' publication date? There has to be some way. --Kailash29792 (talk) 16:30, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
- After some efforts, I could find a similar article by the same correspondent in June 2016: https://mediaindia.eu/dossier/kalki-koechlin/ which has been worded a bit differently. If you click on the the next image in the Ouest article, the date shows as May/June 2016 for the same edition. It's also interesting to note that fr:Kalki Koechlin mentions her as an Indian actress of French origin though it also contains the same Ouest source. MT TrainDiscuss 17:31, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
- So, it cannot be any newer. We could go back to the Indian nationality on principle then, once we come up with a consensus on whether The Hindu source can be used to declare her Indian. Thoughts Mark the train, Kailash29792? VedantTalk 17:56, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
- Meanwhile I found this, a lesser reliable site that terms her an Indian actress. Would it be fine if I link this conversation at WT:IN? Hoping others might help. MT TrainDiscuss 18:51, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
- Sure, but I doubt the value of the above listed source. There are numerous articles referring to her as an Indian actress, which don't really explicit her nationality. That would be the case here too. VedantTalk 20:10, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you. I'll leave this reference and mention the other three. MT TrainDiscuss 04:25, 21 January 2018 (UTC)
