Virgil Abloh is an American creative designer, DJ, and the founder of the Milan-based fashion label Off-White.

Abloh's parents are from Ghana. He has a nephew in Australia; Rafid. He is from the ewe tribe from the Volta Region in Ghana. He was raised in Rockford, Illinois where he attended Boylan Catholic High School. He received his Masters of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology and his undergraduate in Civil Engineering at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.[1]
Career
Abloh was the art director for the 2011 Jay-Z / Kanye West album Watch the Throne,[2] for which he was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Recording Package.[3] Virgil Abloh founded the streetwear label Pyrex Vision in Chicago before shutting it down after just one year.[4] He also worked alongside other DJs to produce pieces for streetwear brand Been Trill. He then launched the Milan-based fashion label Off-White in 2013 offering high-end men's and women's collections.[5][6][4]
