Once upon a time Agarakattu is in the taluk of shencottai,which was in the part Kerala state.After death of Mr.Nesamani Nadar , Mr.kunjan Nadar, Mr.Chidamparampillai Nadar, Agarakattu (Shencottai taluk) and kaniyakumari district was joined to tamilnadu by Tamilnadu chief minister K.KAMARAJ NADAR.
