It is a predominantly agriculture depending village. Population of the village is around 600 people with 49% Male and 51% female population, it is a prosperous village with 80% literacy rate.

Obulakkapalli (ఓబులక్కపల్లి), also known as Bodireddypalli (బోడిరెడ్డిపల్లి), is a village in Peddaraveedu mandal, Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh state. Village is name after village god Bodireddy lived few centuries back, he said to have built the village and excavated near by pond for agriculture. Village is situated right next to Kurnool - Guntur state highway and has excellent road connectivity all across Andhra Pradesh.

It is a predominantly agriculture depending village. Population of the village is around 600 people with 49% Male and 51% female population, it is a prosperous village with 80% literacy rate.

Crops

Battayi or citrus used to be major source of income to the village. It used to export hundreds of trucks of citrus crops to Hyderabad gaddiannaram market every year, but due to the severe draught in 2002-04, most of the plantation was lost to draught because of lack of ground water. Now the ground water levels in the village went to 500–600 ft depth.

There is a big pond aka bodireddy cheruvu located in the paddy fields of the village but due to less than average rain fall, most of the times the pond is in dry condition. Once the pond was prosperous with full of water and used to supply water for two crops a year.

Education

All of the population below 40 years is educated. Village has a well established high school running with 500+ students. Students from nearby villages come to attend the school.

Temples

Village is follows only Hindu religion, it has nice temples. Rama temple is location in the center of the village, Lord shiva, Durga temple are location in the nearby paddy fields of the village. Lord Veerabhadra temple is located in the nearby fields.
