Ritchey graduated from Prince George Secondary School in 2007[3]. He has since studied New Media at the University of Lethbridge , and English at Athabasca University[4].

I've Decided To Apply For Big Brother Canada Season 5, in which he explains why he applied for season 5 of Big Brother Canada.[6] In late 2016, Ritchey deleted most of the videos from his YouTube channel, including "57. Current Chart - Y2016M7D24" which, is the source of the Heartbroken Cowboy meme[7].
