Wang Yi (Zhao Ang's wife)Wang Yi (Cao Wei) – The main reason I'm bringing this up is that Zhao Ang is currently a red link. The subject has a disambiguation tag that implies their notability derives from someone who inspires so little interest that in the decade-plus Wikipedia's been around, noone's thought it worthwhile to create an article for him, not even a one-sentence stub. This is even despite the fact that said red link is currently in the first sentence of this article, which gets a not-insignificant amount of views (5336 over the past 90 days). I just think we can come up with a better disambiguation label than the current one, so I'm proposing this to see if anyone agrees. I'm not entirely happy with the label I'm suggesting, so if you have one you think would be better, feel free to suggest it. Egsan Bacon (talk) 02:19, 5 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is not advisable. Rafe de Crespigny counts 7 "Wang Yi"s during the Eastern Han alone. _dk (talk) 09:51, 6 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment What if an article is created for Zhao Ang? LDS contact me 08:20, 6 September 2014 (UTC) Now there is an article for Zhao Ang. LDS contact me 15:04, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Rafe de Crespigny's Biographical Dictionary of the Later Han and the Three Kingdoms describes her as thus in the first sentence: "Wang Yi 王異 or Shi Yi 士異, the Lady. Wife of Zhao Ang of Hanyang" (p. 839). It seems best to create the article for Zhao Ang as Lds suggested, since he is the major player in the mutiny against Ma Chao. That he doesn't have an article here does not speak against his notability, but instead highlights Wikipedia's systemic biases. _dk (talk) 09:51, 6 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • This line from the Lie Nü Zhuan annotation in Sanguozhi vol. 25 already says her full name was "Wang Yi". 謐又載趙昂妻曰:趙昂妻異者,故益州刺史天水趙偉璋妻,王氏女也。 It's not like in cases where only parts of the woman's name (e.g. family name, given name, posthumous title) is known. If the full name is known, why not use it? LDS contact me 00:39, 8 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • de Crespginy adds elsewhere in To Establish Peace that "Shi" is likely a transcription error. Plus, the notability of "Wang" is already established through her many appearances under this name in popular culture. _dk (talk) 05:59, 8 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
