Elina Samantaray, also known as Ray Elina Samantaray, is an Indian actress and model. She started her career with Ollywood movie Ishq Tu Hi Tu. She is winner of the first season of "Kie Heba Mo Heroine" program which was telecast on Tarang TV.[1][2] Her film Kabula Barabula ... Searching Laila released on Dussehra 2017, was Blockbuster and gained huge popularity as a lead actress in Ollywood. She is currently pursuing Master's Degree at Utkal University. [3]
Biography
Elina was born in Cuttack, Odisha and currently staying in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She has completed her schooling in Rourkela, Odisha and Graduation from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack. She came to Ollywood industry after winning Talent hunt show named as "Kie Heba Mo Heroine".
Career
The first movie of her career was Ishq Tu Hi Tu which was made keeping in basis 1991 religious riot of Bhadrak. The film was a hit and her acting and chemistry with Arindam Roy was appreciated.However the turning point of her career were her next 2 releases-Kehi Nuhe Kahara and Jaga Hatare Pagha where her performance was much better. The next year in 2016 she appeared in Love Station in which she starred alongside Babushan. Later in the same year, she appeared in Jhia Ta Bigidi Gala.Both these movies brought her huge popularity and stardom.
In 2017, she worked with Ollywood Mega star Anubhav Mohanty in Abhaya (film) and Kabula Barabula ... Searching Laila. Both the films were Blockbuster and she received positive reviews for her performances.
Her Next film Happy Lucky with Jyoti Ranjan Nayak, Sambeet Acharya and Sasmita (Winner of Kie Heba Mo Heroine Season 3) was released on 14 JAN 2018.
Her upcoming movie is Tokata Fasigala which can be regarded as an achievement as she will be playing the lead role along with Sabyasachi Mishra and the movie is an Odia-Bengali bilangual movie.The movie is expected to hit theatres in 2018 Rajo bazar.
