William-Michael Jackson (born March 22, 1985) is an American professional mixed martial artist, undefeated boxer and occasional kickboxer who competes in the welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Early life

Jackson was a college student at the University of Houston, where he earned his degree in sociology with a minor in African-American studies. [3]

Boxing and kickboxing career

Since 2008, Jackson has received boxing training in Missouri City, Texas under coach Cliff Miles of Mo City Boxing. From 2013–2017, Mike amassed a 4-0 record in professional boxing.[4] Jackson also had a single kickboxing bout in 2017, losing to Bellator MMA fighter Jeramie Holloway, bringing his kickboxing record to 1-1.

Mixed martial arts career

Jackson began training mixed martial arts in 2008 under Jermaine Anugwom in College Station, Texas.[3]

Ultimate Fighting Championship

Jackson made his promotional debut on February 6, 2016 at UFC Fight Night 82, where he faced fellow newcomer Mickey Gall. Jackson lost to a submission by Gall in 45 seconds of the first round.[5]

Return to UFC

In 2018, Jackson is expected to face the former WWE Champion CM Punk at UFC 225 in Chicago.[6][7]
