Dean Muir (born 6 February 1989) is a South African rugby union player, currently playing with Super Rugby side the Template:Rut Stormers and domestically with Template:Rut Western Province.[1] His regular position is hooker.

Career

He represented the Template:Rut Sharks (Currie Cup) at the 2006 and 2007 Under–18 Craven Week tournaments and played for the Sharks' Under–19 team the following season.

In 2010, he played for the Template:Rut TUT Vikings in the 2010 Varsity Cup.

He returned to the Sharks and was included in their squad for the 2012 Vodacom Cup. He was named on the bench for the game against the Template:Rut Boland Cavaliers, but failed to make an appearance.[2]

In the second half of 2012, he joined the Template:Rut Border Bulldogs, where he made his debut in the opening game of the 2012 Currie Cup First Division season against the Template:Rut SWD Eagles[3] and became a regular starter for the team.
