"Ignite"
Song

"Ignite" is a song by Norwegian record producer and DJ Alan Walker, featuring Norwegian music producer and songwriter K-391. It was released on 7 April 2017, through Walker's record label Mer Musikk and Sony.

Although K-391 was credited as a featured artist, the main drop of "Ignite" is based on his song "Godzilla", in which Marvin Divine was featured and was released back in 2015.[3][4]

A vocal version of "Ignite" was first shown at Coachella 2018. This version features a Norwegian singer, Julie Bergan.

Background

In conjunction with the launch of the Sony Xperia XZs, Walker released a music video for the song "Ignite".

"The video, which was recently filmed in Tokyo, is partially filmed by Alan Walker himself, with "super slow motion" function to Xperia XZs. The video releases exclusively through hidden codes in the channels for Sony Xperia and selected retailers from April 5th", states Sony Mobile.

"The collaboration with Alan Walker feels like a perfect match. The new Xperia XZs and its utterly distinctive super slow motion function is fully in line with Alan Walker's trademark and sound. Inspired by Alan expression and audience, we have chosen to build a campaign around prevailing gaming culture", says Martina Johansson, responsible for the Nordic retail and partner marketing at Sony Mobile.

"Alan Walker has had a huge success with his music and it is therefore incredibly cool to launch this project with Sony Mobile and their partners. Through this partnership, we can weave together our brands to engage our joint customers and fans in a playful way", says Camilla Adamsson, responsible for brand partnership in Sony Music Sweden.

The cooperation goes by the name "Xperia XZs feat. Alan Walker", and the music video was officially released on 8 April 2017,[5][6] which has been geoblocked outside the Nordic countries since its release on YouTube.
