California's 71st State Assembly district is one of 80 California State Assembly districts. It is currently represented by Republican Randy Voepel of Santee.
District profile
The district encompasses much of the East County region and scattered parts of the Inland Empire. Consisting mostly of rural mountain country or desert, much of the population is clustered in the southwestern suburban part of the district near San Diego.
