DeGraffen

DeGraffen is a Waterfront Condominium and Marina in New Bern North Carolina on the convergence of the Trent and Neuse Rivers, with 307 units and 150 boat slips. DeGraffen is a new development (taking reservations for condos and slips and set for construction in mid-2007) with breathtaking water views and sunsets in this historic harbor town. New Bern was founded in 1710 by Swiss Baron DeGraffenried nd his band of German and Swiss settlers. Baron DeGraffenried was captured by the local Tuscarora Indians and negotiated his release in a harrowing heroic adventure. The town founded by the Swiss was named "New Bern" after their loved Bern Switzerland. "DeGraffen" Waterfront Community was named after this historic figure and his time in North America, located on the very site of his travels. New Bern North Carolina is known as the emerging coastal destination for professionals and families wishing to move to the easy living and beautiful temperate climate of the south from destinations in the Northeast, Midwest and West Coast. Cause Related Marketing, or (CRM) as it is often called, is a collaborative marketing agreement between a profit-seeking corporation and a non-profit organization for the purpose of mutual benefit. According to the IEG, which monitors the corporate sponsorship world, CRM is the fastest growing marketing discipline in the U.S. and domestic companies are expected to spend $991 million on CRM programs in 2006, up from $922 million last year and $630 million five years ago. The Giving USA Foundation indicates that U.S. corporations gave $12 billion to charity in 2004 and just as an example of how this form of marketing has grown, Habitat for Humanity now has more than 75 corporate sponsors. In a report titled "The Next 50 Years" published by Golin Harris, in the future companies will be measured by their commitment to the environment and to the communities in which they operate. The report goes on to state: "As companies compete for admiration and respect, social involvement will become the primary means for influencing public perception despite the dramatic changes in demographics and technology." Constance (movie)

Constance (1998) is an erotic film for women, directed by Knud Vesterskov and produced by Puzzy Power, a division of Lars von Trier's film company Zentropa.

It stars Katja Kean as the willfull Lola, who initiates a younger woman, Constance (Anaïs), in the art of love.

Constance is probably the first hardcore porno film ever to have been produced by an established mainstream film studio. It became a huge success, especially in Scandinavia, where in 2006 its artistic merits were partly responsible for porn being legalized in Norway. The film's executive producer Lene Børglum later co-executive produced such major projects as the Lars von Trier/Nicole Kidman-movie Dogville (2003).

Constance is based on the Puzzy Power Manifesto developed by Zentropa in 1997, as were Zentropa's two other sex films for women: Pink Prison (1999) and All About Anna (2005).

Runaway 2: The Dream of the Turtle is a point and click adventure game released by Péndulo Studios, S.L. in 2006. The game follows the long tradition of two-dimensional adventure games like the first two installments of the Broken Sword series. It is expected to become a huge hit in countries like France and Germany, where the first game in what is currently a two-part series was very popular. The French version of the game will be the first available for purchase, with other localizations soon to be ready for publication. Runaway 2 will be released on CD-ROM and DVD-ROM.

Story

Brian Basco is on vacation in Hawaii with his girlfriend Gina, after the couple fell in love during their adventures in Runaway: A Road Adventure, the first game in this two-part adventure. Gina is excited about taking a bi-plane trip to see the beautiful (but fictional) Tiki Falls on Mala Island, and Brian reticently agrees to the sightseeing excursion. Buxom Gina and now somewhat hip Brian hop on board a rickety old plane run by Platypus Tours, but things take a turn for the worse, setting the supercouple on a whole new set of exotic adventures!

Characters

File:Runaway2brian.jpg
Thanks to Gina's good influence, Brian has become a bit more hip in Runaway 2: The Dream of the Turtle

Brian Basco, the only player-controlled character, is a doctoral candidate in Physics at Berkeley. Brian broke out of his nerdy shell after going through so many adventures and meeting so many interesting characters in Runaway: A Road Adventure. He will stop at nothing to save the woman he never thought he would have, Gina.

Gina Timmins is the stunningly attractive girl Brian almost ran over with his car and immediately fell in love with in Runaway 1. After all the help Brian gave her in the first Runaway, it's no surprise that they're now a couple on vacation together in lovely Hawaii.

Sushi Douglas is a hip multi-millionaire computer hacker who helps Brian out whenever he gets into a jam that requires technical assistance. Brian has a high IQ, but Sushi has the technological know-how to get Brian and his beloved Gina out of harm's way.

Lokelani is a hot and racy new character who spices things up while tending the bar on Luana Beach. She's got a checkered past and annoying cockatoo, but she will definitely be one of the players' favorite characters.

Lokelani is one of the most attention-grabbing stars of Runaway 2: The Dream of the Turtle

Airport Expressway (Indianapolis)

Indianapolis' Airport Expressway is a 4-lane urban expressway approximately 1.8 miles in length which, along with Interstate 70, provides a direct route between downtown Indianapolis and the Indianapolis International Airport.

Routing

The Eastern end of the Airport Expressway is an interchange with Interstate 70. If one continues East beyond this point, the road becomes Raymond Street. The Western endpoint is a "T" intersection on the grounds of the Indianapolis International Airport. Between these two points are interchanges with Lynnhurst Drive, Executive Drive, and Interstate 465.

The Airport Expressway is not an Interstate highway, nor is it signed as a U.S. or state highway. The same is true for the expressway section of Shadeland Avenue on the opposite side of Indianapolis.

Future obsolescence?

A new terminal is under construction at the Indianapolis International Airport which, when completed in 2008, will replace the existing terminal. The existing terminal is on the Eastern side of the airport grounds and the new terminal is on the Southwestern side, thus once the new terminal is completed the Airport Expressway will no longer be a direct route for reaching the airport terminal from any location. A new interchange is being constructed on I-70 to serve the new terminal. Whether this will cause lawmakers to rename the Airport Expressway upon the opening of the new terminal to avoid confusion remains to be seen.

Misdemeanor Offenses, Aggravated Felonies for Immigrants

The Board of Immigration Appeals ( “BIA” or “Board”), an executive agency of the Department of Justice, holds that misdemeanor convictions fall within the definition of aggravated felony as set forth in Rodriguez-Rodriguez, Int. Dec. 3411 (BIA 1999) (endorced by the Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals (hereinafter “Fifth Circuit”) in Zavala-sustaita, 214 F.3d 601 (5th Cir. 2000)). See INA § 101(a)(43)(A). However, the issue presented in Rodriguez-Rodriguez, was whether a felony offense under Texas state law met the definition of § 101(a)(43)(A) of the Act, and not whether a misdemeanor conviction can be an aggravated felony. The Board also relies on the Fifth Circuit’s decision in Urias-Escobar, 281 F.3d 165 (5th Cir. 2002) as support for the proposition that misdemeanor offenses are always encompassed by the aggravated felony definition under § 101(a)(43). In Urias-Escobar, the Fifth Circuit held that a misdemeanor assault conviction for which the alien had been sentenced to one year constituted an aggravated felony within the meaning of § 101(a)(43)(F) of the Act, which defines an aggravated felony as a crime of violence for which the term of imprisonment is at least one year. However, Urias-Escobar should not be determinative in issue presented here, because the aggravated felony definition in § 101(a)(43)(A) makes no reference to any specific sentence length, or to any federal provision of law.

In Matter of Crammond, the Board, sitting en banc, in an 11-9 decision, addressed the exact issue presented, and determinated the matter in alien’s favor. However, Crammond was subsequently vacated on jurisdictional grounds after the Board learned that the alien had departed the U.S.. Matter of Crammond, 23 I. & N. Dec. 9 (BIA), vacated, 23 I. & N. Dec. 179 (BIA 2001).

Subsequently to the former Attorney General John Ashcroft’s reorganization and downsizing of the Board, which left only conservative members seated on the Board (see, Courts Criticize Judges’ Handling of Asylum Cases: Pattern of BIAS Alleged, by Adam Liptak, The New York Times, December 16, 2005. See also, Article from Immigration Bulletin, October 1, 2004), a three-member penal decided Matter of Small, 23 I. & N. Dec. 448 (BIA 2002), in which the Board reconsidered its position in Crammond. There, the Board held that a misdemeanor conviction was an aggravated felony within the meaning of § 101(a)(43)(A). Such desperate measures not only violate equal protection of the law, it smacks discrimination based on alienage. In effect, the same offense which might be a misdemeanor for U.S. citizens is classified an aggravated felony for foreign citizens, a crime that is not even a felony. Moreover, the traditional rule of lenity should be applied to reach the conclusion that misdemeanor offenses are not to be included within the aggravated felony definition in that section. See e.g., INS v. Errico, 385 U.S. 214 , 225 (1966) (indicating that doubts as to the correct construction of a statute affording relief from deportation should be resolved in the immigrant’s favor “because deportation is a drastic measure and at times equivalent of banishment or exile”) (quotation marks omitted); INS v. St. Cry, 533 U.S. at 320 (same). Further, the due process clause of the constitution requires that statutes defining criminal offenses set forth prohibited conduct with sufficient specificity so as to provide fair notice to a person of ordinary intelligence that there conduct is included within the definition of an offense, and that they are subject to penalty for violation. The finding of the Executive Office of Immigration Review (“EOIR”) that alien’s misdemeanor convictions are to be included violates due process, because lawful permanent residents are not given fair notice that in pleading guilty to a misdemeanor offense, they are subject to removal from the U.S. as aggravated felons, barred from discretionary relief from removal, and permanently barred from ever returning to the U.S.

Fetsund

Fetsund is the city center of the municipality Fet in the county of Akershus, Norway. The names comes from the way the area is, and Fet means "where land meets grass". As for the -sund part,it simply means 'strait, inlet'. Accordingly Fetsund is located at the strait of Glomma, Norways largest river, and this it is the place the logging industry in years past pulled the logs out of the water for transport to steam sawmills.

Today Fetsund and it's surrounding area is a small town and is mainly a residencial area with very little industry. The old log industry is gone, but it's buildings and site is still preserved as a national musem, fetsund Lenser. Fetsunds close proximity to Lillestrøm and the nations capitol, Oslo, have been contributing to the fact that the town hasn't grown much larger in the years gone by. On the other hand, it's smalltown qualities, low population density, and closeness to the capitol, makes it a preffered place to live by the working class who would otherwise been confined to the more cramped living space in Oslo's metropolitan suburbs.

The Chalkah

Chakinoldea (Chalkah)

The chalkah is the West Indian elephant, and is widely known for its unusually small trunk. It is grey with no tusks, and has hazel/brown eyes, but is rarely ever seen. Unlike its African relatives, it is approximately 1 and a half tons and yet, is 4 meters tall. Although it is friendly, this animal has an extremely long tail (usually between 7 and 9 feet long), used for attacking its prey. Jon Wittwome from the Chalkah Protection Agency states "this animal is highly endangered, and people must become aware that this is a peaceful mammal that will rarely ever attack."

Total Nonstop Radio started as an idea of a fan wanting to interact and learn more about the people that entertain us on a weekly basis. The original idea was one of a possibility of interviewing these professional wrestlers over the phone and than posted on a website in a periodical sort of way. But after some diligent research on the internet Josh “Yetiboy” Richards found out that there was actually a way to interview these people “LIVE”.

After making a few phone calls and setting up the first broadcast Yeti had to find a co-host. The only place he thought to look was on the great space on the internet known as “myspace” where he had met and befriended many fans such as himself. After several tryouts and a few shows Yeti ran into a gentlemen known as Nikolas Adams and after one phone call the chemistry was set in motion.

Niko and Yeti took the reigns of the show after the first original co-host Ruben “the Saint” could no longer do the show. The chemistry between these two strangers was and still is one that can produce both fire and ice in an instant making the show one of the best and most listened to internet wrestling radio shows on the internet today.

With Yeti’s innate ability to ask all the right questions during interviews and Niko’s candidness during the show the mix of these two along with the newly added youngster of the team, Luke “Triple Threat” the opportunites are endless and the doors that have been opened are tremendous and well deserved.

Well deserved? Yes well deserved. Total Nonstop Radio has interviewed some big names in the business as well as some not so big names and all in all they treat every guest with the same amount of respect and admiration no matter if they are perfecting their craft in front of 50 or 50,000 people. That’s what makes Total Nonstop Radio (TNR) one of the most respected and listened to shows today.

Interviews of WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart, ROH wrestlers such as Colt Cabana, Davey Richards and Nigel McGuinness, CZW Heavyweight Champion Eddie Kingston, TNA People’s Champion “Showtime” Eric Young as well as many others from the TNA roster have given the TNR show its base and foundation. An internet radio show by the fans for the fans………….always!

Whole Body Vibration Training

Whole Body Vibration Training is a technology that has been around for more than 40 years. It started in the former Soviet Union where scientists started the testing with the Soviet space program. Cosmonauts were losing bone density after extended periods of time in space. They found that by using WBV,(whole body vibration), they were able to stop the loss and increase bone density and muscle tissue.

Fast forward 40 years and this once unknown technology is being employed by NASA, professional sports teams, as well as in fitness and rehab centers across the US. Though the testing is not complete, there are studies that are being done to test its effectiveness on osteoporosis, rehabbing hip replacment patients, Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis. The Boston Celtics use the technology for conditioning and rehab and the Boston Red Sox are working it into their conditioning program.

What is it? It is a body vibration machine with a vibrating platform that looks like a scale with a set of handle bars. A user can stand on the platform and exercise while the platform vibrates up and down and side to side up to 60 times a second. Users can adjust the intensity of the vibrations, but the higher the vibration, the harder the workout. The key is to not use it for long periods of time as there is some concern over the long term effects of extended time use. The goal is shorter workouts with greater results.

There are a number of companies now creating these machines. Previously, due to price mainly, the body vibration machines would be found in health centers. But now companies like Power Plate, VibraGym, VibraFlex, Hypergravity and even Soloflex are ofering home gym models in the $350-$3000 range.

There are now communities, like [9] of people talking about the technology and its effectiveness.

Studies have not yet been conclusive to its overall use, but the many underway should shed some more light on what could be a promising new exercise technology.
