Vinod Raj is a Kannada film actor, who is widely recognized for his illustrious dancing skills.^[1] He has worked with major co-stars like Ambareesh, Arjun Sarja, Ramesh Arvind, Srinivas Murthy in his short film career and is known to experiment with his roles.^[2]

He recently released his album Bhaktanjali,^[3] which is a devotional album. He has also done vocals for few of the movies he has worked in. He once asserted that Michael Jackson was his inspiration for both singing and dancing.

Film career

Dwarakish, an actor and producer in the Kannada film industry, introduced Vinod Raj to the same. In his first two films, he worked as an actor under him and later he acted in several movies under his home banner. His dances in Dance Raja Dance gained popularity on YouTube and was also used in Grand Theft Auto:III.

Unlike many co-actors who switched to movies of other languages, Vinod Raj declined such offers and chose to work within the same industry.^[4]

Charitable works and philanthropy

Along with his mother Dr. Leelavathi, Vinod Raj has been involved in many charitable works. He was the only actor to donate for TV9 Kannada's Flood Relief Fund. He also joined Anna Hazare's movement supporting Jan Lokpal Bill against corruption.
