Pentasaurus is a genus of dicynodont of the family Stahleckeriidae that dates to the Late Triassic. It was found in the Elliot Formation of South Africa. The genus contains one species, Pentasaurus goggai.[1]

It is called after the ichnogenus Pentasauropus, since it is suspected that it is the trackmaker. The name of the species honors Alfred Brown, nicknamed "Gogga", which means "bug" in Afrikaans.[1]
