Dr Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, also known as DKO, is a scientist, clergyman and founder of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM).[1]

Early life and education

Daniel Olukoya was born in Ondo State to a police officer and his wife, a trader. He was enrolled at St. Jude’s Primary school, Ebute Metta, Lagos. Olukoya attended Methodist Boys' High School, Lagos.[1]

In 1976 he was granted admission into the University of Lagos (Unilag) to study Microbiology.[1] He graduated from Unilag in 1980 with a first-class degree [2]

He then proceeded on a scholarship to the University of Reading for his Doctorate degree in molecular genetics.[1]

Career

Olukoya returned to Nigeria and worked as a geneticist at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR), Yaba, publishing over 70 scientific papers.[3][4]

Olukoya later established the Daniel & Fola Biotechnology Foundation,[5] a registered NGO, to train Nigerian citizens in molecular biology and biotechnology.[3][6]

He established Mountain of Fire and Miracles in 1989.[7]

Olukoya is married to Shade Olukoya; they have a son named Elijah Toluwani[8]. He is a keen football fan.[9]

Publications

Olukoya has authored several books which are published by Battle Cry Ministry. He is also a regular columnist of Fire in the Word, an MFM fortnightly publication.[3][10]
